THE AIMING RETICLE MOVES AUTOMATICALLY // XBOX ELITE CONTROLLER // XBOX SERIES X // CYBERPUNK VERSION: V.2.3.1.0

Hello,
I've been playing Cyberpunk again for two days and my controller is behaving strangely.

To put it simply, the aiming reticle (or the character, depending on the situation) moves on its own without me even touching the joystick.

To be sure it wasn't just another joystick drift issue, I tested the game with another controller, same problem. I also tested the Elite controller and the other controller with other games, and there were no problems.

I've concluded that it's a Cyberpunk issue. Have you ever encountered this kind of bug, and if so, how did you solve it?
For example, should I uninstall and reinstall the game?
Looking forward to your replies.

I had this issue on PC too. Thankfully as a KBM user, I just unplugged my controller.

That controller later developed more severe stick drift and had to be replaced. (I haven't played CP2077 with my newest controller so I don't know if I'd still have the issue)

As far as dealing with this on console, you can try going into the settings in game, going to the Controls submenu and then increasing the Inner Dead Zone value (0.35 is recommended for XSX). Or even using the "Reset to default" option (Which can sometimes fix it on its own)

Hi,
Just to be sure, you're not talking about the little swing of the weapons or little movement of the camera without weapon?
I also play on Series X and I don't remember encountering such an issue the last time I played (it's been a while, but the game didn't receive any update since).

First, if you didn't, try to clear the cache just in case :
Software method, works only on Xbox Series X:
  1. Press the glowing Xbox button on your controller.
  2. Scroll right to Profile & system.
  3. Select Settings with the A button.
  4. Select Devices & Connections Blu-ray Persistent Storage.
  5. Select Clear Persistent Storage.

Hi Kill3rFou, I'm French too :)

To answer your question, it's not the weapon or camera "swaying" effect. My character literally moves on its own without me even touching the controller. It's a hindrance in-game, but especially during the inspection phase, it's incredibly annoying when trying to scan rooms or game elements.

I'll try your cache clearing method and let you know how it goes.

Hi Taril, thanks for the tricks.
I changed the internal Dead Zone and for now, at 0.10, the controller is responding much better. I'll see how it performs during gameplay.
