The download completely stopped on steam

I pre-downloaded the game on steam and then, today when the game was published I instantly started the update.
I waited a few hours for what was supposed to be just a few minutes to download but the download completely stopped at 57.4GB.
I've tried to download other things on steam and they are able to download. Can someone help me out?

Did you try closing steam and restarting it?

Let steam unpack game, it can take a lot of time.

Right click game on the steam library, click on properties, then on DLC and untick the bonus content, this fixed it for me. If you want the bonus content tick mark it again after it is finished with unpacking.
