The driving controls are absolutely awful - Way too sensitive, way too loose

Title says it all. I'm not sure what the hell they were going for with the driving but the car fishtails and spins and handles like it was dipped in oil and placed on ice.

I have no idea if this is an attempt at "realistic" physics or something but it's absolutely awful. No matter how slowly and carefully you drive, no matter how delicately I turn, the car is constantly zig zag and on the verge of spinning out.

ye, Car controls are really bad. Thankfully Motorbike controls are much better, after act 1 I only used bikes whenever I needed to get somewhere. We can only hope it's on their "to fix" list but would not expect a patch for it sooner as late january at least.

There is a mod to fix it if you're on PC. It's not PERFECT by any means, but it's certainly a massive step up. My Muscle Car now actually can be driven on the road and don't have to use Nomad vehicles everywhere.

Doesn't seem bad at all , play any other open world game and see for yourself , you can't tell me that GTA driving is better because it is not never was. Even race games nowadays have shitty driving mechanics except Forza the steering in Cyberpunk felt realistic and ofc depends on what car you drive. I found Quadra 66 V-tech to be pleasant to drive soft steer on high speeds , great drift on low speeds it was amazing. Find yourself a car you like and drive it it's a RPG after all.

The GTA games cars handle much better than Cyberpunk, by a mile. With 1 exception, GTA4. GTA4 they went for "realistic" driving whatever that means and the driving in that game absolutely sucks and they immediately abandoned it.

on PC, you can use nexus mods to alter the way car handle.. one mod in particular does it quite well:

www.nexusmods.com

Drive It Like You Stole It

Better car/bike handling
www.nexusmods.com www.nexusmods.com

What is problem though, is the minimap.. its zoom is way too close, therefore its quite challenging to spot the turn in time to actually make it... If minimap zoomed out a bit when you get in car/bike it would eliminate a lot of driving issues gamers have...

As someone who has been playing driving games since the master system I can say that the car controls are fine.

I have played driving games with worse handling and its better than GTA 5, to quote zoomers...Learn to drive

i agree, with experience it gets better, but that minimap is a problem.. because you constantly overshoot the turns..

I'm convinced that driving would be so much better (and more exciting) if there was the option to lock the camera behind the car. It's very hard to make turns and not hit something because you don't always see what's in front of you. In real life, you gotta look straight ahead when you're driving. It's the same in games. First person has locked camera, but you can't see the road in first person. It's like your character is a little child driving a car.

The driving is alright imo. It's certainly not the worst, because no game would be as bad as Watch Dogs 1 in terms of driving

Also please fix the crazy sun glare when driving during the day with RTX on.

There should be a skill to adjust steering sensitivity, turning and braking.

I'm a car enthusiast and play a lot of sim racers so I was livid with how the cars drove in the beginning, now I adjust my expectations accordingly and use Jackie's or Scorpion's bike as much as I can. Delamain's cab is all right because of the convos with Del.

I've seen worse in reality. Blinding sun glare is utterly real, buuuut, it is a game and it's nice to be able to see where everything is lol

Tarmac glare is definitely a thing especially in the summer, but considering it's 2077 and Nomad vehicles have those translucent windshield tech it's should not be a stretch to have an anti-glare system in place.
