The E3 gameplay demo. What do you think needs to be worked on? What did you like?

Now that I have slept on it. I thought the demo itself was pretty good, I guess my only critique would be that 5 minutes wasn't really enough to gauge much of anything at all. As for nitpicking everyone else has already done that so I'll refrain from doing so :p

Improve animation movements walking running jogging up and down hill, Improve jump landings give it some illusion of more heavy weight. Please drop the white lines behind the crossbow fire I hate that effect it's bad.
3 arrows not sure why but please just loose the white lines at the very least:)

YES, please no arrow tracers. Too anime-ish.

First of all, impressive world design !
the level of attention to detail was great and the forest looks natural; textures and graphics are pretty nice. the only draw back is the animation which I'm sure it will be improved more than our expectations. beside combat animations, I still can't feel Geralt while he's running.

Are you trying to give me a heart attack? Pistols haven't been invented in the Witcher's world, yet.
Pistols- WATWATWAT?
Why so serious? Just sarcasm. I think bombs and throwing knives are unnecessary too. Witcher uses signes and potions. And all this stuff makes him look like the assassin from Assassin's Creed.

"Recommended potions" - actually, I cant understand this. Why will you not give me an opportunity to find out by myself which potions are more efficacious against one or another monster? This is the part of gameplay.

One thing I realized: Floating weapons on people's backs/sides.

Can we please get rid of that? I saw some characters with weapon sheaths in the trailer but some didn't have em, if you can't make weapon sheaths just don't have them floating on their backs, goes with the crossbow Geralt carries.

Yup, Dragon Age 1 and 2 infuriated me with the floating weapons sheaths.

I don't get where you people are getting that movement has no weight....it looks quite weighty to me.....yeah the animations for uphill/downhill running is non existent :D but there is time to add those.....for the combat i expected as much TW2 combat with tweaks ...it will be OK guys trust me....the fact that this demo presents easier than easy difficulty means that there will be a need for a more tactical approach to combat e.g. Armored units are weak to pierce dmg(Like that crossbow,which totally needs a nerf btw :D),the gryphon will be weak to fire dmg and so on and so on).The only gripe that i have is that Gryhon fight....the fact that when Geralt dodged and the wing/claw went through him and still did no dmg...the tracking on attacks needs to be slower or they need to fix that a bit...I do agree that Hunter Focus or whatever it is called is too.....much....all in all i am pleased a few new animations and this game is set to be awesome...:D :victory:

CDPR stated that there wil be monsters for which you'll HAVE to use it. That's not the same thing than an optional weapon...

Actually they said in the secret message:

The crossbow. Yup, Geralt has a ranged weapon. Because monsters fly and you can't stab them.

They didn't say you HAVE to use it, they implied it makes sense, you still have AARD and IGNI. And as @Kinley points out with the gryphon you could probably sneak up on it as well. If they removed it they would just be making it more frustrating for people who don't want to do that stuff.

I agree. Reading item descriptions and figuring everything out by yourself is what makes The Witcher games so special. Or maybe this is shown only on easy mode?

I didn't notice this I hope CDPR make that optional.

@KingXVI
I think I said this in the other thread, but I'm assuming they had all the details listed because Geralt was already on the hunt & knew everything. It's merely there so if you start a quest but then come back to it hours later & you'll already have the recommended potions & info there for you. I assume that if you don't read the appropriate book or talk to people, those "recommended potions" will be empty.
@vincentdante
You know If they show the same Gameplay segment in the IGN or Gamespot streams, I'd love to see them not shoot the crossbow at the Griffin, but show us a different approach. To me it seemed evident that the section wasn't on rails (Apart from the cutscene trigger when the Griffin gets to low HP), it appeared that they could have done stuff during that segment in whatever order, perhaps even ignored the bandit attack altogether.
