The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online has an excellent group of voice actors some of the names are John Cleese, Michael Gambon, Kate Beckinsale, Malcolm McDowell, Lynda Carter, Bill Nighy, and Alfred Molina,i mean damn half of their budget must have been to the voice actors. :eek:/>

I played the beta for 30 min and it was enough for me.
It's hard to see people jumping continuously and running everywhere in a TES game.

I will be purchasing 5 copies of The Elder Scrolls: Online on release day and pay for only 3 accounts a month only. I plan on having 20 copies total of The Elder Scrolls: Online in 5 years time but I will still be paying for only 3 accounts a month only because it is way to much money to pay for 20 accounts a month.

Right now I have 25 World of Warcraft accounts I pay for only 3 accounts a month and have been playing World of Warcraft since 2004.

I also have only 3 accounts for EVE Online and have been playing EVE: Online since 2003.

I also want to play Final Fantasy: XIV but that will happen someday.

And people wonder why these games cost so much. Half of the budget goes into actors (Kate Beckinsale? Can't act and probably expensive as hell) and the you have engine that sucks.

What does this mean? That I am a sucker? A moron for paying that much money a month? Or what?

I am a MMO freak and I believe I get my moneys worth from monthly subscription based MMO video games.

Free to Play (F2P) video games lack content badly and I refuse to pay for microtransactions.

World of Warcraft has microtransactions but only for cosmetic stuff like useless clothing and mounts that's it.

In the end it's been proven that monthly subscription based MMO video games get more content than Free to Play (F2P) video games.

Also I am financially stable to pay that much money a month.

Farming.

I need lots of characters as bank or storage to farm a whole bunch of materials to make armor, clothing, etc.

In World of Warcraft you can only have 10 characters per server and 50 characters total per account. I have like 5 million gold and like 40 level 90 characters in total in World of Warcraft.

In EVE: Online I have like 65 billion plex credits.

And this is why MMO's are silly and not worth even the time it took to post this reply.

I have Beta access for TES Online.
I'm not sure what to say about that game.

The reason why I had a good time with games like Skyrim was that it was an immersive open world game,
with a great modding community. I never cared for the lore, story or characters in TES games.

Now in this MMO the immersion is broken by strafejumping players named "Dovahkill69" and "FusRohDead!",
everything feels more static because it has to be for technical reasons and there is no modding.

For an MMO it's still pretty good at this stage though, just not my cup of tea.

:p

Played the Beta.. didnt like it. It's not Skyrim Online that's for sure, more like dump down version of it. Combat doesnt feel the same, attacks and animations are sluggish.
I took some screenshots, I will try to find it.

While I am excited about it since it offers first person view *cough* hint hint *cough* and real time combat instead of that horrible whackamole pseudo turnbased combat that most MMOs have. And I will be able to see what Elsewer, Black Marsh and Highrock look like finally. I will still hold my breath since SWTOR turned out to be such a disappointment, although at least I could see it coming with that game since their show off videos showed horrible combat.

I will definitely get it and play for at least the first month and I will ironically be making my first two characters a Khajit and an Argonian. I say ironically because I hate beast races in video games. They are basically lazy templates instead of creating something original and they remind me of SNES games with frog knights and such. Not to mention that my cat though a khajit was was looking at was another cat and swiped at it.

Don't know about it yet, played the beta and wasn't too impressed.

I'll probably still be sobbing in a corner while trying to beat Dark Souls II and waiting for the Witcher 3.

Oh patience, this is the grandest of tests you must endure.

Wow, they hired voice actors? Where are the usual repetable dialogues used by almost every npc in the game, all acted by just few people?
They're evolving... Lol.
But seriously, I have nothing agaist MMOs, hell I played a few and I still play few, but to be fair I have no bloody interest in TES: MMO. I suppose my heretical ('played-only-skyrim') point of view is irrelevant, but one thing that Skyrim did properly to some degree was immersion. That, open world, and mods made me sink in more than 700 h into that game. Seeing over 9 thousand players, all heroes destined to make the world shake, lack of mod support ( obviously, it's a bloody MMO)... is killing it big time.
Also when I've heard that combat will stayed more of less similar to other TES games I was laughing my arse off... good luck playing with that.

Also... subscription? Nah, I do not have that kind of money. I like F2P's if they do not restrict f2p-players in a huge manner, which then makes me spend some cash on the game ( more a gesture of showing support than actually trying to pay my way into stuff ). I suppose that's my idealistic side of my gaming philosophy, if you even can call it this way.
