The first Pro Ladder season start date — important message from the development team

Dear Gamers,

Following the reveal of GWENT Masters at this year’s gamescom, we announced that the first Pro Ladder season will begin September 1st. At the time, that was the plan. However, after careful consideration, we feel we need some extra time before we’re ready to get this show on the road.

This additional time will allow us to start the Pro Ladder with its rankings immediately reflecting the recently announced change to how your rank will be determined (more information about this is available here), which was previously scheduled to become visible after the season’s start. We also want to follow up the recently released major update with some tweaks to the balance and overall gameplay experience that we feel will go a long way to make sure your initial experience in the Pro Ladder will be a great one.

As both developers and gamers, delays are not something we’re looking forward to ourselves, but it won’t be long before you start climbing up the ranks of the Pro Ladder. Though we don’t have an exact date for you right now, everything should be up and running in the coming days. When we’re ready, we’ll let you know via the usual channels.

GWENT Team

Makes sense. But why Retract normal ranked play for 3 fucking hours if your delaying the pro ladder anyway? Especially when those who simply don't restart the game are happily playing ranked anyway - No problems with there game play.
Just a no brainer move to me...
Appears ranked we re-added, guess you guys are actually getting work done and changing things on the fly - which is a go!od thing, rather than waiting 3 years to fix stuff.
Thank you

Very good call imho, with current balancing state, it would give a portion of playerbase unfair advantage if it did start on schedule. Though this does make timing of future balancing patches and reset of pro ladder somewhat tricky. Good job as always for listening to the community!

Cool, now we have time to grind rank before going all Pro and stuff :D

Btw, think about overlaying the rank system and rewards over the Pro ladder, so that players playing only Pro ladder can get end season rewards like those playing regular ladder. No need to invent anything, just keep same ranks and rewards in Pro, so 4500 overall MMR in Pro (when all faction MMR is calculated) being rank 21 and having same end of season rewards as regular rank 21.

hopefully that means they will be addressing all the power creep bronzes and not just ST but NG and NR as well. Im also surprised avallach was not addressed due to mill.

Good call. I know it was a tough decision as this is competitive ladder but is a necessary delay. Keep up the good work.

Avallach is fine, i actually never had an issue with mill decks (they ended up conceding XD) asi think its difficult to play properly, but yeah, now there are a lot of op bronzes because of their rework (vrihedd units, siege support, clan an craite warcrier, dwarves) as well as some of the new ones (specially ST). I never liked scoia tael but am really considering in crafting a deck with eithne, since after every patch, its consistenly the best leader and faction to play with...

Please fix at least tremor, it's unlogical.
Then vrihed someone who buffs with mulligan.
Then, consider reverting changes to golds, 50% are now worst than most of the bronzes.
Then the wait is worth it.

yeah NR and NG are just as crazy right now as Mulligan ST even with virhedd officer. Morenn should not flip when you pass but they should increase her damage to 6 since she rarely kills anything. Don't have problem with gold immunity change. if there is one thing i do have a bit of a problem with its almost all the cards being agile now.
