The Forlorn Hope: Cyberpunk Off-Topic

It's based on the assumption the AI wants to co-exist with humanity not eradicate or enslave it.
We can't even make people who want to coexist with humanity. The second an AI touches the internet, it's game over for meatthings.

It might be amused at their stupidity and naivety and not see them as a threat .. sort of the way we humans view a puppy.

Playing Far Cry: Blood Dragon( separate expansion for III) for first time, in essence futuristic FC with 80's vibe and a bit CP layer to it.
Absolutely Loving it, like a trip back into time...horribly cliched, protagonist that's more dumb than a rock, characters constantly delivering incredibly corny lines. It's still Ubisoft game underneath it all, clear that, collect this, follow the marker to trigger this, but damn amusing one.

Running through an enemy camp spamming Cyberhearts to draw a Blood-Dragon into it while interspersing it with generous flippings of the bird was my favourite passtime in that expansion, It's just a shame it was incredibly short.

For all the things Ubisoft does wrong, they know how to create dynamic encounters in the game, where things can get out of control...very, very quickly. And this can result in crazy, chaotic fun at times.
CDPR could definitely improve on this.

The only thing about that is it'd be toeing the line between silly and serious, and I feel that it can ruin the tone of a game.
Serious plots are often complimented by dark humor while Blood Dragon is just silly through and through.

Thinking about getting a new computer with good graphic card before cyberpunk releases (early 2018 ?). I am sure my graphic card becomes obsolete by 2017 ending

Start saving now. W2 and W3 were both resource intensive if you wanted MAXIMUM PRETTY. Since CDPR Max.Pret. (Ow. Sorry, so edgy I just cut myself) is so damn pretty, I find it worth the investment.

I'm running a 1080 gtx right now. I'll probably have to upgrade or SLI for 2077. Of course, by 2077, it'll be a VR sim anyway, with full tactile responses.

I run a GTX 970 and while I don't do FPS games it has zero issues running everything I own at max settings.
But yeah, by the time CP2077 comes out I'll be due an upgrade ... to what I have no idea as I have no clue when CP2077 will be released.

Next week! PREPARE YOUR DIAPERS.

I am sure 1080 will still work in high settings for cyberpunk .

I am thinking of going for either ati rx 490 or nvidia gtx 1080 next year when prices drop . Ya vr is too expensive right now . Maybe 5 years from now it will gain more interest among gamers

Saw something the other day that basically said aside from pre-orders and first month sales VR gear is basically sitting on the shelves in stores.

But this is no real surprise, it took around 20 years for television to really get popular enough for most people to have one, and around the same for home electricity to catch on. To expect VR to instantly become a "must have" item for the majority of gamers is extremely wishful thinking.
