Banzalcoatl? Hmmm. Does reverse psychology work here? If I say absolutely no, no way, never, would you start using it? I've never heard of anyone getting a say in their own nickname before. Not even Amy. And ma'am is fine, but somehow I don't think it'll happen.

And somebody will need to pick yours. I already have my "in my own head" name for you, but I don't think I'll share.

Reverse psychology, along with the normal kind, only works on sane people. Case in point: imagine trying reverse psychology on some kind of crazed machete-wielding murderer. It doesn't work, because crazy people always have the option of hacking you apart with a machete. If they have one.

Also, 227 is a prime number, therefore I should be called Optimus Prime.

Time for a change of subject

FREE TO GOOD HOME (new owner pays shipping costs)

One dog.
Slightly shop-soiled, but still in working order. Factory modded.
Low-maintenance, subsisting primarily on spillage, recycled cat-food and the cable that runs from the UPS to the computer power strip.

(PS - I prefer Prime Roast)

It was just a little bit annoying. There I was, sitting at the computer, when all of a sudden - no power. Like a reverse power cut, the main room lights and the fan were on, but the computer, monitors, router. Everything dead. So I went round to have a look, and there was little Gwynbleidd, all cute and innocent and gormless, jaw wrapped round the plug at the back of the UPS.

He's lucky to be alive, for more reasons than one. I didn't think he could get in there, but when the imperative is present, I guess they can find a way. The access is definitely blocked now.

Well, at least you found out with no harm done and dog alive. I keep waiting to find a mouse amidst my components. Hasn't happened yet.

Close miss, Prime Roast, ( I still like Flappy better, but whatever you say).

Happened once at work, at a customer site. Fried mouse. And yes, Gwyn was lucky, especially as this is a 240V country.

Close miss, Prime Roast, ( I still like Flappy better, but whatever you say).

That was intended for 227, but I'll take it if offered.

Ahh, 240V. Yeah, he was lucky. Or he got zapped and didn't notice...

Ah, 222. "Prime Roast". Heh. Heheheheheh.

I just usually mix his number up for a nickname. Or get him confused for other people, because, you know, number.

Peaches- "Hello this is peaches and thanks for calling my sex line. Now whats your fantasy?"

Max- "It was dark and raining out. I was disorientated and out of breath. I chased the perp into an ally and he was hiding from me."

Peaches- "Hey its your money we can talk about whatever you want."

Max- "It was the third time this month I discharged my weapon in the line of duty. I was sure I had him lined up but he just didn't go down."

Peaches- "What the hell is this about anyway"?

Max- "I was beginning to think the perp got away when something caught my eye. The jaywalker was crouched behind a dumpster crying so I leveled my 45 and discharged the rest of the mag."

Peaches- "Umm honey, you need help."

Nope. Picked up the free Torchlight and a few gift copies in case anyone missed the promo, but other than that, GOG just doesn't excite me. Went on an "old game" spree a few years back, so I already own or otherwise have no interest in 99% of what they sell there. Those bundles where you have to pick up games you're really not interested in to get the full discount are a great deterrent to buying backup copies.

While it's somewhat on-topic, I'd recommend that everyone stays far away from Omikron. Great beginning, with a horrible everything else. Also, Anachronox isn't anywhere near as good as the user reviews/rating would lead you to believe.

Totally reminds me of that part in Max Payne 2 where Max calls up a phone sex line and rambles to one of the operators. Good times.

Speaking of which, they should make Address Unknown into an actual television series.

And now we've jumped from Angkor Wat to sewing? This is getting way too confusing.

FOOL! Omikron is great! At least, the 65% I played. A GREAT 65%!

Never did try anachronox. I'd try now, but you know..those terrible graphics...

Angkor Wat?

Unfinished story, mediocre characters, lots of little minigames that you're forced to endure, and the turn-based battles play out at the speed of molasses. The whole thing is just so... boring... to actually... play... zzz.... and I typically love turn-based games. I even valiantly defended them in a thread here once.

Omikron sucks; every bit of the game after Telis on the roof was bland and forgettable. Don't let Bowie cloud your judgment. Even the final battle, as awesome as it sounds in concept, ends up being horribly-executed.

Are we expected to believe that the posted video was taken by you? I refuse to believe that you didn't say anything for thirty seconds straight. This is quite obviously a trick.

But...but..BOWIE?!

I honestly can't recall a lot of Omikron. I liked it, but if I made it even half way through I'd be surprised. I'd have to look it up. Lessee...hmm.. I got to the part about Demons, into the police station went to one alternate world..don't remember much after that.

I think my wife took that one. I was probably off lecturing Rom, our driver, on the virtues of Sp18 Skinweave over subdermal plates. Or something.

Good to know 227, I actually wanted to get Anachronox, but might not do that now. I can relate to not wanting to buy stuff from GOG, but whatever- Torchlight was free, the games I bought were on low, low prices, and I like GOG/CDP enough to want to support them *shrug*

Nice video Sard, always wanted to go to Cam.

Do eet.

Cambodia was very interesting. Very, very poor. Very, very optimistic. Hard-working, for sale, bitter and full of dreams. The worst economy in Southeast Asia. Some of the friendliest people we met.

Very hard to see, a lot of it. But worth the effort.

Nice video Sard, and yes, a truly amazing place.I'm just slightly horrified at the idea that there are places on this planet that we have both visited, paths that we have both trod. Bangkok, Angkor Wat, who knows how many others there could be?

If you ever visit SE Asia again, you have to let me know, so that I can make plans. Take out a restraining order, alert the ports, whatever.

Or you could hire a nice looking fella from the local watering hole, give him fake fangs and body glitter, and Sard will be too busy to care about anything else *smiley shrug*
