The Forlorn Hope: Cyberpunk Off-Topic

Another Tesla product that looks like an oversized plastic toy: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cm29x5ke9jdo

The first was, of course, the infamous(ly ugly) Cybertruck.

Right, the truck that can't even do regular truck stuff. I wonder if these Cybercabs and Robovans will be able to do what they're supposed to be for.

Worst part of that presentation for me was the Optimus....Optimuses? Optimi? Them robots. Everyone was going nuts because of how incredibly human their interactions were and then, all along, it was confirmed that there were human operators behind them. Which just felt so obvious when you listened to them speak.

That entire presentation had little to no substance to it and was just Musk stroking his own ego... again.

The best part of the article :p
"However, investors have so far not shared his enthusiasm - Tesla's share price fell after markets opened in the US on Friday morning."

Agreed, that combined with the fact Tesla is reporting a net loss this quarter.

I'm genuinely conflicted on this. I don't want to see Tesla fail. All of these talented people don't deserve to lose their livelihood and I want to see Tesla live up to what it once looked like it could be. Not be Musk's plaything.

For him to leave, unfortunately, the company will have to take major hits before investors finally grow tired of his bullshit.

Maybe one day they'll be back to creating decent products instead of these terrible looking things that don't perform nearly as well as advertised.

In many cultures, guests are welcomed by the burning of incense. It promotes peace of mind and a spiritual connection. I only have some Febreze on hand, but it's good to see you again.
