The Forlorn Hope: Cyberpunk Off-Topic

Hmm... interesting giveaway on Steam: they're giving Deus Ex 3 for 2.99 E and Augmented Ed for 6.99. That is why I like Steam

At least in the dark future we know that global warming will help get rid of those pesky freezing nights. Summers might be bad and the air is horrible, but no cold.

It's the Wolf Moon tonight. We won't see much of it, because it's heavy overcast. The Lasagna Queen says the first four full moons of the year in Michigan are the Snow Shovel Moon, the Snow Blower Moon, the Snow Plow Moon, and the More #*@%$^$ Snow Moon.

Steam doesn't have give aways, they've never given me anything ;)

But yes, $5 for Deus Ex HR sounds decent. The series never really interested me, and Squeenix is probably one of my least favorite publishers. But oh well, guess I'll give it a try. I'll pretend it's a shooter and then I'll probably be surprised!

And since everyone loves talking about the weather, I think it's about 17º C right now. It seems I win :p

Well I got Deus Ex HR with the Missing Link. $8.73 total. Hope it was worth it.

How many hours of gameplay should I expect? I normally take my time, explore and read every single line.

I hate Steam. My internet has a tendency to go out unexpectedly, so failing to put the game in offline mode before it does so... yeah. Really drives home the fact that we're all having to ask for permission to use things we paid for. I hope that Steam and Valve implode and Gabe is forced into homelessness so that I can give him some change, then demand that he checks with me before using it to buy food. Karma's a bitch.

A lot of replay value too.
Though it could be argued that the few new things you'll find on subsequent playthroughs aren't enough to really count as replay value. At least for some.

I stay offline almost-permanently, for the same reason. I only go online when I'm downloading something.
Replay value is on different routes/play styles rather than exploration. So no, not for everyone, but I got my money's worth.

I'd say less than slim's estimate, but it's still fairly high for that type of game. A lot of replay value too.

One Hundred Fifty Four hours played.

Because.

And I don't need "new things" for replay if the gameplay remains delicous. Which it cyber-stabby does.

Yup, probably similar, although the "always stay offline at Steam" thing means I don't have numbers.

I used to do the same, but then realised I couldn't see and taunt my friends on Steam. A tactical consideration of some note. And, bonus, I get to "brag" about my mildly obsessive behaviours! At least I haven't fallen to tracking my achievements. Maybe if they gave me some kind of XP...
