The Frost bomb, EE Intro

In the EE intro the blue vial that Letho tosses with the flash freeze effect looks too powerful to be a Witcher bomb. I'm wondering if it is something that Sile gave him, or something the Nilgardian mages cooked up. Both make sense, however, since the target was one that the Lodge wanted taken out it would be more logical that they gave it to him.

i guess i'm inclined to agree, its not something ive really thought about, but now that you've mentioned it.

In terms of AOE and power it dwarfs anything Geralt uses throughout so i'm guessing it was given to Letho

Just a wild speculation, but mages sometimes favor schools of magic that are consistent with their personalities. Dethmold favors Wind, for example. Sile is often referred to as "ice queen"; while that may mean only that she is frigid (or perceived as such), she may also favor or have special skill in Frost spells and weapons.

Thus the ice bomb is consistent with something Sile would have made for the Kingslayer.
