The General Videogame Thread

A french equivalent of GMG announced a partnership with CDPR too. 25% off the game, for 45€.
I'd say this operation may help CDPR communicate about GoG in the long run (usually those websites sell steam key).

It's that time of the year again....

While Unity was at best a decent game, it was bloody gorgeous, I could explore Paris for hours. I am excited to see them recreating Victorian era London.

To everyone who says Nintendo only makes "kids" games. You are wrong. Today, Nintendo made a masturbation joke in an official Nintendo announcement. Now "adult" gamers can be Nintendo fans too :crybaby:

In case you miss it, the joke is around 11:25. You'll know it when you hear it. It's not exactly subtle.

Just a tip, get Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag now for free, by buying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass at Uplay. You will get a code for GOG.com, so you won't need Uplay for anything else than Assassin's Creed.

This would make a fun sidescroller Witcher game ;D

And big part of the money will go to EA with your purchase voicing support for DRMed distribution. Better buy on GOG directly. Not only you'll support CDPR better, you'll also support DRM-free gaming.

@Gilrond-i-Virdan, EA? I don't think Uplay is EA.
I got The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from GOG, so if I can get Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for free by buying Expansion Pass on Uplay, then I think that is a good deal for me. It's not charity and I don't think I should feel bad about it.

Ubisoft of course, not EA. Not any different in this context however. It's not a charity, you just give a chunk of your money that could go directly to CDRP to Ubisoft.

And here I thought I was over Victorian London. Nope, this makes me a bit curios and excited, I might actually have to try it. D: I have not and do not have any itention to play any of the other ACs, so I wonder if this one's gonna be friendly to the newcomers.

Will everyone speak French in it? You know, since with Unity and their British accents.. It would only be fair..

So, GOG releasing Metro Last Light is a major development. It means Deep Silver now feels comfortable with DRM-free releases of recent games. It feels like a milestone.

GOG doesn't like releasing a lot of stuff at once - they wrote about it in the past. So I guess they are building up their releases. Just a guess.

I would have released Metro 2033 Redux first. It has more to offer than Last Light Redux.

But yes this is great news. The Linux version should be coming soon. Only a few years ago people were laughing at the idea of high profile, DRM-free, Linux games.

New dinosaur game for PC, Linux, PS4, and Xbox One. Made in Unreal Engin 4. It is a survival type game with multiplayer, you can tame 60 different dinosaurs it sounds like with megalodons too. What I find neat is that it isn't just stone age technology. You advance up to modern electric power as you play more it seems. It's early access on Steam, but it seems the full version will release alongside the console release next year. It supports Occulus rift too. Full steam workshop support for mods as well

This. Makes no sense to release the second game first.
That depends. If it received more wishlist requests, then why not? Customers get what they want. And secondly, may be the first game is plagued by some rights issues, who knows.

In the beginning of Shadow Warrior, if you go out to the road (instead of going in to the meeting) and follow it to the end
You can see some strange robots behind the wall:

Is it a hint to some existing film or it's just authors' joke?
