I agree that the combat system looks solid and fun at least.
But it's too opportunistic, and that's all there is at Ubisoft.

That could be fun for 6 hours and then... microtransactions.

I also hated how they constantly mocked people who had issues with their games last year.

I think we can all agree that Ubisoft's leaders are a bunch of twats.

A peculiar development, when investors complain that CDPR published sales numbers:
http://www.gamebanshee.com/news/115689-cd-projekt-risks-fine-after-communicating-the-witcher-3-sales-numbers.html

Why would they prefer secrecy? What do they mean by "even playing field" exactly, and how are those investors hurt if these numbers are published?

Here is what I noticed about Sony's conference. They really killed it. But, it also had one major flaw: none of their exclusives mentioned are coming out in 2015. And on top of that, most of the games they announced last year for 2015 weren't even mentioned at this years conference, and a lot of them have even been delayed to 2016.

The Tomorrow Children -- not mentioned
Until Dawn --not mentioned
Tearaway Unfolded --not mentioned
Rachet & Clank Remastered --not mentioned AND delayed to 2016
Uncharted 4 --delayed to 2016
No Man's Sky --no release date

To compensate for this, they did the same thing they did last year with Destiny: they partnered with third-parties to compensate for their lack of exclusive software with timed-exclusivity of silly things like DLC.

The Last Guardian, No Man's Sky, Horizon, Shenmue 3, and FF7 Remake all looked impressive. But there was no mention of release dates, or even release windows, and no mention of the games announced last year.

What a crock of shit. I always thought they were beholden to no one but their investors are almost the equivalent of working under contract for a publisher.

They aren't beholden to investors directly, as in having the controlling interest, but it doens't help them that investors can pull the plug, sending the company into financial tailspin.

Well Sony really doesn't have a solid lineup for 2015 and they know it, but to make up for it 2016 looks really insane for Sony. Either way that was one hell of a conference.

Speaking of Horizon, that game looks like a mix of monster hunter and witcher 3 with dinosaur robots (and lead writer of Fallout New Vegas working on it) and with a stunning looking female protagonist. Sold, day 1.

i can't believe how terrible the ubisoft artists are. surely they have some taste and talent. but yeah, lets throw in some samurais with crescent decorated helmets and katanas in with some vaguely european designs for utterly atrocious, artistically incoherent garbage. what are they, 12 years old? they can't come up with something less stupid than that?

and ghost recon looks like the divison in the desert. again, how is it believable to have a group of tough as nails black ops guys look like they just shambled out of a surf shack of a starbucks? doesn't ubisoft have any sense of verisimilitude or taste. or are they so desperate to appeal to some codbros who identify with that attire.

Horizon looks really great would've been cool if we could do some of that rope thing in W3. CDPR really needs better coders or whatever to pull off stuff like that

You have to admit that there are some good-looking games coming out this year. Whether they live up to the hype is another thing entirely. Anyway, are there any partial Warhammer fans looking forward to this as much as I am?

It's about time that Fantasy gets some love. :)

Much bigger levels this time and more verticality. It looks awesome. Love that double jump and landing from 40 ft up with the roll.

Looks like a really solid shooter but I think Doom will be better. Just my opinion though.

The new Ghost Recon is just meh. The idea could be work, but as far as I see it is not taken very seriously at all. The game would look much better if they degsined the equipment much more tactical like. I mean, the Ghost does not looks like an spec ops operator.
And there is another problem. Published by Ubisoft. I can (and most of you can as well) tell what kind of side content we can expect, of course, they will work a bit on thoose, but not too much. Ubisoft can make beliveable, and good looking Open Worlds, but they cannot fill it up with proper content. I still looking after this game, but carefully.
(Actually the stealth take in the trailer looked much better than the others.)

I think that's a lousy excuse. This is the second year in a row Sony has had a non-existant line up. What if all their games get delayed to 2017, or even to next console generation? hehe

At this point Sony has eight announced exclusives with no release dates. And that doesn't include games with unconfirmed platforms, like No Man's Sky & FF7, and indy games. So yeah, 2016 better be fucking insane for them.

Strong E3 this year. Top games for me right now are probably Deus Ex and Dishonored 2. Didn't really see anything from XCOM2, which is another title I'm interested in, so that's a shame. Doom and Battlefront were a bit disappointing for me.

I don't care about major publishers and their stuff on E3, but good to see Compulsion with We Happy Few attending. Shadow Warrior 2 looks great! Open levels and climbing is a major improvement over the first one.

I am extremely excited for the new Doom. There are plenty of things I don't like about it but I can't wait to play it. There are so many games from E3 that I really like but all I can think about is Doom. I can only hope it will retain some of that timeless magic from the original.

Also, Mass Effect, Halo, Xcom 2, Deus Ex, Fallout. Man what a crazy year.
