From a first, short Google search I didn't really get what this 7 dollar business is all about, but it seems to have something to do with AJ whining about not making enough money and that that is someone else's fault - and that would perfectly fit my impression of him.

Haven't played it in twenty years or so Aaden, but if it's still the same kind of game then i'd say it's like most dice games about mitigating risk, and you can still fail if Nuffle decides that it's not your day. Ogres were a bit OP back in the day, think there was a special player you could hire, Eeza Ugezod (He's a huge sod) that could steamroll anything. I assume it's better balanced now though.

I hadn't heard about the tabletop Blood Bowl either, until two days ago (not really a tabletop guy, I've always been more into PnP and TCG's), but with all the Warhammer stuff I've been occupying myself with lately being awesome and hilarious, I MIGHT just dare enter the horrific realm of nerditude that a GW / tabletop shop is to get a first-hand impression of things.

Yeah that was the video that turned me off of his videos completely. Popular guy like him, seven bucks. Hah!

Edit: Granted I never watched any of his "personal" videos until that one, just the reviews.

Pretty much every Games Workshop product is guaranteed to be fun, even "Grimdark" 40k has its fair share of comedy and great WTF moments, but personally I think everything they do is enormously overpriced and you're better off sticking with the comp for value. Still the lads and lasses who frequent the shops are usually a good crowd, though they can take the hobby a bit too seriously.

Been playing Witcher 2. It's a hell of a lot better when you're playing it on a rig that can actually run the damn game without any problems.

It's also fun to play it on my new bigass 55" TV! :p

But anyways, anyone else looking forward to MGSV over here? It's my most anticipated game along with The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight at the moment:

I had a weak moment today and got myself a Nintendo 3ds xl. ;D
Plus Zelda A Link Between Worlds, the remake of A Link The Past - oh, the nostalgia.

I have a friend who owns a 3ds xl and he says he loves the Pokemon games for the console so if you are fan of those games be sure to check them out.

Been playing AC4.
I didn't like AC1, 2 or Brotherhood much, so I gave up on the serie. The announcement of ACUnity made me try Blackflag and...
I'm very surprised. I enjoy this game quite a lot. There are still the same problems since AC1 and it's a shame (that's why I wouldn't recommend buying a AC): i.e. collectibles, difficulty, parkour mechanics, combat, stealth (as bad as before). But everything else is quite good if you're hesitating and haven't played one of the last AC.

So, who's up for more Wolfenstein? I know that I certainly am!

Secrets Everywhere? Check
Over the top weapons? Check
Crazy Accents? Check
Mechs and Super Soldiers? Oh Yes!

In other words, it's Definitely Wolfenstein! :2guns:

Unfortunately, I had more of a strong CoD vibe from what I've seen of Wolfenstein, with a pinch of sillyness Bulletstorm had. It made me think of Bioshock in some aspects too.

The "jump" and "fall" at the end of the vid is very gimmicky.

I have to say it feels a bit underwhelming and boring to me right now.

Was there "stealth" in the original?

In the original? No. But there's plenty of different Wolfenstein games and this level to me clearly looks like a homeage to RTCW.

I won't judge the game based on 30 minutes of footage from the very first level that would be a bad decision but it seems to be trying to keep old school while also retaining some modernity which I'm not particularly a fan of(highlighted items that you have to pick up by button press, irons sights). The AI really didn't seem to be doing anything and this 1 of 2 games I'm looking forward to so if it turns out bad then well Witcher 3 is the only thing left that I want to play.

Stop being so negative! It's clearly just the first level. Let's wait and see how it turns out before we all start criticising. :)
It looks quite a bit better than all those crappy Modern Military Shooters!

I've been playing Age of Wonders 3.
It's riddled with problems (like a horrible diplomacy system), but I believe the game can be refined with patches (that are already on the way) and expansions. So the flaws notwithstanding, it's quite a fun game.

Rogue is a lot of fun to play (Shadow Stalkers and assassins FTW).

generally, if a game hasn't impressed you by the first 30 minutes, it's either got a very long tutorial/prologue, or the game just sucks, period.

wolftenstein 3d probably has more complex level designs than this game. this looks like call of duty+steampunk+every other gimmicky linear playable cut scene shooter out there.

Interesting concept. It looks like just another digital store, but it lets third parties(like bloggers, vloggers etc) get their cut from selling games.

With a few clicks you get a piece of code to copy and paste wherever you want - be it a video, vlog, blog, podcast or forum post. When people decide to get the game you have shown them, they can express their gratitude not just with kudos and likes, but also by clicking on your link and buying it from your store at Games Republic. They'll know that their money supports not only the devs, but also someone who helped them make a good decision - you.

And people love to be generous when it costs them nothing.
Now whenever you talk about a game you love (or hate), you add a link (or widget) that lets you sell it - so when someone decides to buy the game and join the fun, he or she can do it while supporting you.

You get 15% share of every transaction, for example $3 off every $20 game sale (after commissions and taxes).

My Earnings tab gives you full knowledge about the performance of your links - check anytime how much you earned, when and from what sources.

I wonder how it will work, might be some sort of alternative to getting $ from YouTube.

Hmmm, looks like they're essentially paying people for advertising and content curation.

Been knocking out my backlog like a bloody pulp. And I finally got to Alpha Protocol. Haven't started, yet but I'm pretty excited so I'm going to save it for an off day.
