That's just bollocks. Act 3 is hated by vocal minority of forum dwellers, in reality it has some of the best moments in the game, including objectively the best mission.
No, pretty much everyone agrees that Act 3 is terribly undercooked. With the least content, worst writing and lacking significant features (Like the Upper City).

I've not seen anyone (Besides you) who thought that Act 3 was anything other than trash.
Evil route being an afterthought was always going to happen.
Not really. Plenty of other games offer actually complete evil routes. Owlcat games have several evil paths that are as fully fleshed out as the good ones.

BG3 decided to cut down development of the evil path due to specifically low engagement.
So, the [...] are only an issue when it comes to Halsin - but not when it comes to 69-ning with a Drow woman as a thank you for slaughtering a bunch of women and children? That was a totally fine EA feature?
When did I say that?

The [...] also influenced the addition of Mithara as a companion.

Though given that she was part of the evil route she never really had much going for her in the first place. Like her entire personality before recruiting her is just some murderous evil Drow.

Unlike Halsin who had people who liked him because of his background. Only for him then to suffer character assassination in favour of sex appeal.

There is a world of difference between "undercoocked" and "trash".
I haven't seen any meaningful gaps in writing and if anything, it had some of the best written scenes in the entire game.
>least content
Yeah, this is not true. [...] the most common complaint about Act 3 I've heard was that it was too packed, because there are quests literally everywhere - unlike for example Act 2, that is a literal magic wasteland.

Yes really, I've yet to play an RPG where evil route was as compelling - or even a valid alternative - to the good route. "Plenty of games" =/= "Owlcats making WoTR". I think even one of the New Vegas devs was talking about how they knew that very few people will play Legion - one of the reasons why they are the faction with least amount of content.
When did I say that?
You didn't say that, but you implied it, because it's bizarre to accuse writers of making Halsin too horny later on, when Minthara was made this way from Patch 2.
And the funny thing is that I find her actually well written later on.

Not my kind of game, but it looks pretty cool :)
That looks literally like it's built on top of Mad Max. Division of skills, driving, animations, and sound effects seem almost identical, but more "muted."

I'll keep an eye on that. Mad Max was a surprisingly fun game.

We had the Genestealers, so I figured that Necrons would be in the next update. Looking forward to seeing who the new companion character is. I'm guessing not a Necron.
Yeah probably not a necron!
In any case, I love Necrons, I'm super excited by this DLC :)

A big open-world game which could run nicely, sounds a like a dream nowaday... But apparently Pearl Abyss might have done it with Crimson Desert. Playing to a game in 4K native at 60 FPS, with RT enabled and all settings in ultra, on another GPU than a 5090 sound impossible... :D

Ok, I just finished the game in hard and to be honest, Pyromancy Psycher is so powerful that I will try again, but in "Unfair" difficulty. It will be the very first time I will give a shot to the highest difficulty in Owlcat games.
I'm especially confident, but hey with the Emperor blessing I might finish the game, who know... At least, I have been warned :D Warhammer 40,000_ Rogue Trader-2026_03_10-20-59-59.jpegWarhammer 40,000_ Rogue Trader-2026_03_10-21-00-27.jpegWarhammer 40,000_ Rogue Trader-2026_03_10-21-24-55.jpg

There are so many permutations of builds in the game that the difficulty sliders serve a meaningful purpose for role play. I can role play an interesting character without a lot of powerful abilities and be just fine. Or, I can play a super-powerful character and scale up the difficulty.

Yes, pretty cool :)
I think there is quite a bump in difficulty between hard and unfair. Because I'm not even in Act 2, so the "unfair" difficulty isn't at its peak yet and I had to restart most of fights because in most case, half of my party is down even before my first action... I finished a couple of fights only with only Abelard :D

By the way, I will likely change the skill check setting, so I will no longer be really in unfair... I "savescum" for most of skill check anyway, so it will spare me a ton of reloads.

I usually set the combat difficulty pretty high, and set the skill checks very low. I don't mind being challenged on combat strategy, but I hate failing skill checks.

Well, I didn't change the skill checks difficulty yet, but I have to change the space combat's. In unfair, space combats ate near to impossible!
I barely managed to win the very first fight after a couple of tries, which in theory should be the easiest one as tutorial (less than 10 HP remaining^^). Then I tried many different fights, but even the "easy" ones with 2 or 3 little enemies, they destroy me after few turns no matter what.
I can't even level up to improve my ship so at this point, I don't see what to do other than lowering the difficulty...

It's terrible and quite sad, because otherwise I manage pretty well surprisingly :D

Agreed. I hate the space combat part of the game. It's interesting in principle but not in execution. I happily confess to "cheating" in the space combat portion by setting the difficulty as low as I can, and also by modding my ship to do massive extra damage.

Oh god!
Why they all have to release their games/updates/DLCs at the same time or almost... No way I will be able to finish Crimson Desert before April 7

The Free Lanes update looks very promising.

I recently re-installed Starfield and have been having a lot of fun with some big mods that add massive content to it. Not looking forward to the updates breaking all that stuff next month, but if the changes are as good as the trailer makes them look (always a big question with Bethesda), then it'll be worth it.
