GOG:com announced three upcoming preorders for unspecificed games. Two RPG's and one Strategy. Could one be... the... witcher... THREE?
It does look pretty good. They definetely succeeded at keeping the feel of South Park, what's more it seems to be genuinely fun to play. I love the fact that it looks like something straight out of TV. The music seems really epic which I love given the pseudo D&D storyline that they have in the game. I wonder if they used the word "Kupa" intentionally ? We're doing this because we believe that there's no better way to accomplish our overall goals for DRM-Free gaming and GOG.com.
It's unfortunate. But if they can snag big time publishers who agree to DRM free, then it's an acceptable trade off. It applies to the upcoming 3 titles, right?https://secure.gog.com/news/announcement_big_preorders_launch_day_releases_coming
So, they ditched the principle of flat pricing for promoting DRM-free. Not sure what to say about it, but it doesn't look good. What do you think? Once they gave in to some, there will be no way to convince other developers that they see flat pricing as an important value.
Humble Bundle recently also pushed this regional pricing stuff. Nasty developments.
"regional pricing is becoming the standard around the globe" being used as an excuse is BS, too. DRM is an industry standard as well, why not let go of that (DRM-free only games) next?@ReptilePZ: Yeah. Talk is cheap. Sticking to your principles is hard.
