No hunt... but again, just as I'm about to go to bed :D Someone has epic timing! :):hmmm: You're right, M i k e, the caption thingie has changed
to The world will perish amidst ice and be reborn with the new sun. (Not sure if this needs spoiler tagging or not, so erring on the safe side.)
Exciting :)

I wish I could see this video with french subtitle, I don't get everything that is said, except that perhaps the combat system has been improved for the consoles...Anyway, as for the hunt, could it be related to that special thing that Benedykt Szneider and Lukasz Kratynski are said to be preparing? You could find the info on the profile of Lukasz, the one you can find in the post on PanKarol's Blog about the Marketing Team (his profile is the last one).

Maybe they will publish new, Enhanced Enhanced Version :DBut, all in all it kinda sucks that the console version wil be better..they could release some addons, not the graphic ones, but those which affect storyline, your decisions..Sometimes things were quite clear to me(player), but my character didnt know what to do.And there was no way how to bypass it..this was quite frustrating. Also, the "you-have-a-lot-of-possiilities" system was..hm..the consequences could differ much more.also i had impression that they were mostly based on what you said in 1 or 2 replicas(answers)..which is..well..better than nothing, but the game has much bigger potential that that.Maybe, it will be improved in W II, but if they are working on W I, and they are improving it for the console, they should do the same thing for the pc version. howgh 8)

Emotionally, I feel betrayed and abandoned when I see that all of the coolest new stuff will be for consoles; intellectually, I can't blame them, since that's where a lot of the market is.But whipping up excitement among their PC players and then showing us that the excitement is for a console version ... that's just cruel.I hope they won't forget us entirely.

No, there's a picture of an XboX resting on a big pile of cash behind it.

An interview with a CDPR guy seems fairly official ... it doesn't seem as if it's just fan rumor if there's a CDPR person saying it.

Let's not be too jealous... I mean, PC gamers have had some "extended" games before... okay, perhaps they weren't as good as The Witcher, but still, Fable isn't your average bad game!Beside, perhaps that the developers only came up with those ideas after the release of the enhanced edition. And they wan to introduce them first on the console version, to give it some hype and added value, and after this (not too long I think) make it available for the PC gamers through a patch or something.

I don't forsee it coming for the PC in the form of a patch. The designer stated it uses a new engine.

I am curious to know that if the port has all of the adult/mature content to it. The console version with its new engine may have some better animations and control but would all of the Witcher content be accessible also? Until the EE the PC in N.A. didn't have full dialogue options or certain "graphics" Some say it is still not complete here. Will the console version have it all or will PC players still have something the consolers can be envious about? Hmm...

There's nothing wrong with the game itself being ported to consoles. There's lots of money there. The problem is that the developers seem to listen to and care about professional reviewers. These professional reviewers, especially the console ones, honestly have no clue what they're doing. If they keep listening to them, then the development will probably end up reducing their future games to something more simple, generic and dumbded down. Lots of companies that go to consoles end up doing this with their games because the console market is very different. It is also a great source of revenue, so developers tend to just cater to those gamers because it ends up being easier. I've just seen that many companies that get attracted to money on consoles end up making worse games than when they developed for PC. When everything is multiplatform, they end up catering to the lowest common denominator to maximize profit. Let's just hope that doesn't happen. But the video tended to say that certain things could only be done on consoles. In reality, almost anything done on consoles can be done on PC's. Lots of people have controllers on PC's and the new combat features could be implemented on computers quite easily.

Game over. A loyal old-school PC fanbase just got hornswoggled into facilitating the birth of a console developer.Let's hope against hope that the Witcher expansion is already close to completion so we at least get two decent games out of them before the T for Teen sh!tstorm begins.

Hello everyone, according to the German magazine Gamepro, The Witcher will be released for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2009 under the Name "The Witcher Rise of the White Wolf". However I couldn't find any other source confirming this. Everywhere I looked the game was described as PC-exclusive so I am wondering if these rumors are actually true.I am in the Witcher since it was released, but couldn't play it because of my weak PC so I'm really hoping for this news being valid.Have a nice dayDamasch
