The Impatient Monk at the basement of the inn. I am completely lost. What exactly am I supposed to get from him? Whenever I happen to beat him at dice, he says it's not enough. And WTF is up with this dice game, anyway? I can't tell if I'm winning or losing, the way that the dice look.

He's a promotion, long since expired, for GOG. If you beat him with two pair (you must roll two pair, and your two pair must win), you got a link to a GOG promo offer.

For the dice, look at the figures if you can't make out the Roman numerals.

1 = I = One circle
2 = II = Two intersecting circles
3 = III = Triangle
4 = IV = Square
5 = V = 5-pointed star
6 = VI = 6-pointed star

(These are the same figures used for the Vigor point display in the HUD.)

Good to know. I have won with two pairs and the game told there was something for me in the extras menu. After that, I kept winnning and he kept saying it wasn't enough. I thought there was something more.

Frustrating game, followed by a disappointing non-reward. I wish they'd removed this in a later patch. And I hope they don't do this again in future games - it's the wrong way to do promos, and breaks immersion.

(I got criticised for saying that at GoG though )
