An option would be nice. But if I am going to be bloody honest here, I don't miss it, even learned to drive around in first person. It would be prefered to have an FoV slider so I can atleast choose to have a better field of view.
I play with 100 FoV and it still doesn't feel far enough back.An option would be nice. But if I am going to be bloody honest here, I don't miss it, even learned to drive around in first person. It would be prefered to have an FoV slider so I can atleast choose to have a better field of view.
I fail to see why it would, given that the multiplayer would be a secondary priority. Or tertiary, or not even that......it would make sense to stay first person only as that keeps it the most balanced as third person just becomes a corning peeking joke.
That's true. But for an action rpg that doesn't restrict itself to shooting mechanics and aims to please the whole world, it's still a poor decision to ignore it. I'm sure many agree with that.End of the day it's CDPR's decision on if they want to add a third person camera or not.
Those conversations, few as they are, doesn't justify the restriction....turning to face multiple people during cross conversations would be clunky in TPP...
The +15 year old splintercell games let you crawl through airducts in 3rd person just fine. It's not perfect, but sure it's not impossible....and some spaces are too cramped to accommodate even a close shoulder camera.
Before release of the game it was mentioned countless times to "play it before judging". Well I've played and know I'm judging. While I like the game, some parts are still underwhelming in my book.I have a question? Why buy a first person game then get all disappointed and mad about it being first person. That's like buying a car, getting home and being mad that it's not a truck. I personally never got the infatuation with needing to see your character other than playing Barbie dress-up
How?! I really wish I could drive around in first person without feeling like I need a booster seat. (a seat for toddlers in cars)But if I am going to be bloody honest here, I don't miss it, even learned to drive around in first person.
Some of the vehicles are bad but I particularly prefer bikes, especially Jackie's for driving around as it gives you the best viewHow?! I really wish I could drive around in first person without feeling like I need a booster seat. (a seat for toddlers in cars)
I love the interiors of the cars & they're designed very appropriately, but I can't see behind me, or even what's immediately beside me.
Often, when playing, I'll switch to FP when driving just because I wanna be able to see my car's interior while cruising around. The sacrifice?: The pedestrians who get to close to my car. Don't they know I'm driving in FP?
I'll admit, reversing your car is a gamble due to a lack of rear view mirrors. Regular driving on the road however is doable as long as you keep the dimensions of your vehicle of choice in mind. It's just the minimap that makes me overshoot at times. How?! I really wish I could drive around in first person without feeling like I need a booster seat. (a seat for toddlers in cars)

But you are judging why a burger doesn't taste like a salad. I would understand if it was a feature that was suppose to be in game but it wasn't. If they add it as an option for players, that would be alright and anyone to argue otherwise, outside of multiplayer reasons, is just looking to argue. I would still play in first person and hell, on my next playthrough, I'm going to turn off more hud options just to immerse myself even more. Before release of the game it was mentioned countless times to "play it before judging". It's funny you brought up the barbie dress-upMy wife remarks my playing with the virtual barbie doll as well from time to time, and she doesn't fully understand it either. The only difference being that she respects me enjoying it.
I personally find the cars to feel somewhat realistic. I mean, if you wanna drive at 180 mph, don't expect your car to perform and maneuver very well. Drive it like you would normally drive and it actually becomes more enjoyable but it is hard to do that with mouse and keyboard. I sometimes grab my controller when I drive so I have more controlI'll admit, reversing your car is a gamble due to a lack of rear view mirrors. I should've mentioned that I do play it on a base PS4, the controller makes it easier than WASD on a keyboard I imagine. The handling is fine to me, played enough Carmagedon (which uses realistic physics for vehicle handling) that it's not difficult to make that switch. But you are judging why a burger doesn't taste like a salad. Ya, a controller makes a huge difference when it comes to anything that involves driving in video games. Could you imagine playing Gran Turismo on mouse and keyboard lol?I should've mentioned that I do play it on a base PS4, the controller makes it easier than WASD on a keyboard I imagine. If we are speaking of what was supposed to be in the game, then you could say that the salad was slowly changing into a burger, taking into account what was altered and removed over the course of years into the final product that has been released. But you are judging why a burger doesn't taste like a salad. Despite all changes, I still gave it a shot. And while I like the game, it's still my right to express my opinion.
You say some of us are just looking to argue about the matter of perspective. But one can ask you the same by visiting and commenting in this specific topic.
To come back to that divined word "immersion". Everyone has it's own vision of what it should be. No one should define it for another.
Okay, you've got me there. I interpreted that sentence wrong. Please read what I wrote before commenting. I said "If they add it as an option for players, that would be alright and anyone to argue otherwise, outside of multiplayer reasons, is just looking to argue."
One thing's for sure, we start gettin' multiplayer they better make note of these problems, otherwise nobody's gonna wanna either buy more content or play lookin' like their trench coat is stapled to their ass...Am I just missing it or is FPS the only interface?
