Oh, I think I realized a big part of why I don't like Geralt's face. His eyes are almost orange in their shade, not golden.
Unless I've missed something beforehand, this change is news to me.

Ironically, when reading the books I always imagined Emhyr looking like Descartez

CDPR understand our nitpicking though, they strive for perfection and are incredibly ambitious, they are like us.

Besides, I haven't seen anyone so far not excited or satisfied with the trailer, the only reason why we focus so much on details is cause we love the witcher

The trailer is phenomenal. There's a couple of instances though where I find the aesthetics bend towards a slightly less grounded approach, this being one of them and that mountainous location where Ciri is revealed being another example.

Oh by the way, about the subject of the faces, for those of you that dont remember or know, there was an old interview with a dev where I recall clearly that they said they were trying to make faces and characters more exaggerated and perhaps less realistic, to bring out more of their features.

I have to see exactly what was the result of this approach of course, but that might explain why some faces look distinctly different than before, and different in a matter of style, not just pass of time, events, etc.
