Heya!Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful music in the game. I've looked around the forums, and not seen any threads just on the music-- so I wanted to start one. I have to say The Witcher has the best original music of any RPG I've played in a long, long time. ;D ;D So I hope the composers and musicians know that they're appreciated too!-- I'd love to be able to download some of the tunes that were in the game. Do any of the artists do any other work that's available?Keep up the great work! I'm looking forward to more-- not just music, but more of Geralt and his world. :) -Tyger-

Search game directory. There is all in-game music in .ogg files :).

Thanks! I wasn't sure I would be able to play those files, but I forgot I had the VLC media player. :)I still wouldn't mind hearing more from the musicians and composers. :)-Tyger-

Thanks. I love the music in this game, almost all of it and was wondering how to download some of it and also, whether writers of the music had other releases we could sample and possibly buy.

Thumbs up for the music.I love the music part when Geralt is fighting the striga in introduction clip.Totally love the drum beat of that part of the music, adds much immersion to the game. lol

You don't have to download anything, the music is open unarchived ogg format in the game's folders.

This game has some really good music - very atmospheric. Hopefully they'll make a sequel.

Does anyone know of a free utility that can convert .ogg files into .mp3?

Yes there are some programs, but I think you would be better off installing the codecs for OGG vorbis. This way you can play OGG in your Windows media player if you want: http://www.wmplugins.com/ItemDetail.aspx?ItemID=681Or you can download a seperate program that supports ogg such as VLC media player. Also, converting between lossy formats will always result in loss of quality.

Some people prefer to use another music player. Such as Amarok: http://amarok.kde.org/features ;)And I didn't criticize the music. On the contrary I loved the music! So different than most games and yet so beautiful.Darkelve

The threatening allure of the Vizima Temple Quarters by day piece is my favorite. It's what Fallout's Junktown would sound like in a medieval fantasy setting. It's night counterpart spells danger in a direct way, however. Think of Fallout's Raiders/The Den theme.
