Is this possible via a mod?

I'm sorry, but I don't know that. There seems to be some tension surrounding modifications at the moment, as the official REDkit modding programme has yet to be released.

Just be overloadet - the cam will instantly bite Geralds neck ;-)
A great way to manualy adjust the cam.....

I remember CDPR saying that there were 2 separate camera distances that we could freely choose from. Am I crazy, or does anyone else remember that?

I'm pretty sure it was Marcin Momot who verified it on these forums.

The Witcher 3 needs of a FOV slider. And this, must be put in Xbox One and PS4 versions too.

Please, do this CDPR.

That's what I do, only problem is he can't run. So an option to change the camera view I am in full agreement with

Discovered this at half way of my playthrough. after that i had so much more fun and the world looked much more impressive to me. plus you dont need a storage chest anymore. i never run ,so this solution is fine to me ( except the o or two quests you need to run. they were a pain in the ass, cause i was forced to drop huge amount of loot)

I also use the overburden method. The problem of not being able to run can be mitigated a bit by using "punch, dodge, dodge, dodge..." to move around a bit quicker. Mostly though, use Roach when trying to get to places.

I thought I was the only one who used the overburdened method to get that camera angle. There really should be a camera option or mod for it. It's so much better for just walking around.

why does everyone always make threads that make us vote between 2 things? have a toggle option, and voila, problem solved, everyone happy

Zooming in closer to Geralt was really annoying during indoor/closed-off environments so I hope they get rid of it altogether. A 'cinematic' camera angle is only good for cutscenes, and not ideal at all for interactivity and general gameplay.

Current cam is good for combat, need better fov/closer cam or whatever for exploration cam so the environment shouldn't feel as small as does now; really takes away from immersion. If I were an environment artist for this game I'd be really sad that my creations are being experienced from this camera angle.

It's mostly the hulkish movement of Geralt in forced walking mod that makes it bad.

I tried that reddit method, and although it works great, there is small vibration on Geralt at a certain camera angle (using 1.5 and 0.5 settings to replicate indoor/overburden camera). Wondering if there is a fix for this?

I like both and think they're fine, but if I absolutely had to choose I would go with closer.
