The Operator Bug EE

Hey guys!

First off, this fight is insane. Seriously, I'm on Dark Mode right now and I'm going crazy xD
I'm talking about the Operator, who is part of the "From a Bygone Era" quest in Act III. Now before the EE, there was a rather simple tactic on how to take out the Operator and dodge his spells - hide behind the pillars and keep away from him. Except, hiding behind the pillars won't work anymore.

Now I don't know if this is a simple design oversight in the EE or a bug but the pillars have moved since 2.0. They are now closer to the corners of the room, which makes it impossible to hide behind them to avoid the spells - the AoE will always hit you. And if you're pure Swordsman, like I am, and just happen to be out of Quen, this means almost instant death on Dark Mode. But not only have the pillars moved, you can actually walk through them! And then I noticed invisible walls inside the room, four of them, to be specific. The invisible walls are in the exact same spots the pillars before the EE were in. I generally get killed when I try running around in the room because I get stuck at one of the invisible walls. I suspect that the pillars I see (and try to hide behind) should be where the invisible walls are. It is new with the Enhanced Edition and I've seen lots of people complain about the room being smaller and all but I don't even think that's the case, just the pillars aren't where they should be. You can hide behind the pillars you can also walk through (which will lead to the Operator being neutral and you can save-bug I'm exploiting right now, anything else seems impossible for me xD), but you can't hide behind the invisible walls and spells will go through the invisible walls as well, which all in all makes this fight even more of a nightmare than before.

I hope this bug gets addressed as much as the Operator becoming neutral bug, which I believe was fixed before at some point. Generally, I miss quite a few things from 2.0, like diagrams and formulas being ticked in vendors' inventories to prevent buying them again and such for example. But the Operator is ridiculously hard due to this bug so I hope this gets fixed with the next patch!

So long :)

Actually hiding behind pilars still works. I've done it myself.

I can't, for example, hide behind the pillar in the far left corner of the room (from the entrance) because it's too close to the debris in that corner. I can, however, run through that pillar, but when being attacked by 2 Gargoyles and a crazy mage with fire spells and invincibility, that's not the best idea :p

It seems the pillars' visual models have been moved further back for some reason. The physical pillars are all in their old places(except for the top left one), but their models are not. You can still hide behind 3 out of 4 pillars, although you'll clip through the model.

While this is definitely a bug, you can still win the fight without using pillars. For example, get Deithwen(the high-end silver sword with +25% against gargoyles), put three Ysgith runes and Falka's blood on it, then drink Thunderbolt, Rook and Swallow. You'll hit like a freight train and kill gargoyles in 2-3 hits, ending the fight in a little over a minute.
