We need to see her with better lighting.Frankly, I'm somewhat disappointed. Her face has to show that she is strong-willed, which is currently very much not the case, imo. To that effect lips should probably be narrower and more tightly pressed, and the eyebrows should probably curve invards.
In any case I hope that in the game she will look different. Now she looks like a confused girl, not like a powerfull sorceress who is more than hundread years old, at least that's what my impression is.
Well...in Sword of Destiny (Sapkowski's book) Dandelion says Yennefer has the skin of a 16 years old girl.I have to admit, I think I prefer the SoD version of the face. I dunno, she just looks really, really young in this new iteration. It's not that she looks bad, but now it looks like even Triss is older then her. (Kind of reminds me of a Girl I work with... Who is 15...)
However, even Geralt & Ciri looked a little funky in their "Cosplay Guides", the stance and expression used for these is a little odd, but they look much better in-game with all the movement and expressions changing, so hopefully Yen will too. Ultimately she's fine, but yea - just a little too baby faced - I'll still be happy with this though.
I agree. In fact, I think this is the same model in the SOD trailer, only we can't get a full idea of her looks until we see it in action in the game. It's like all the confusion with Geralt's face because he's looked different in various scenes so far despite being ( most likely) the same model. I imagined her with a harder more mature look, but they've done a great job with the face. My only niggle is the same with the other models - the high heel boots. Every woman has them now, although they look slightly more fitting on Yen. Another remarkable thing with RED engine is the subtlety of the facial complexions.I had a similar reaction initially, I felt something was off. But then I realized it's because there's no expression to the face. The face morphs and expressions are jaw-dropping this time around IMO. Rockstar tried doing facial expressions right in LA Noire and I think they failed miserably. CDPR on the other hand did a stellar job in that department in TW3. Even Geralt looked a bit strange in the cosplay guide but seeing him in game and how his face animates makes it a million times better.
I'll wait till I see some footage of her talking and interacting with other characters (I really hope CDPR releases such footage).
I need to re-read the damn books, I've forgotten so many little bits and pieces. Although I guess I have only read it once.Well...in Sword of Destiny (Sapkowski's book) Dandelion says Yennefer has the skin of a 16 years old girl.
As for Yennefers case the high heeled boots are fine since Yennefer is a sorceress also she is doesn't strike me as a very practical person. Sorceresses often appear in courts and castles and go to their clinics, potion shops whatever so they often have to looks their best. In the books she's always fixing her hair and shit like that so she's concerned about her appearance and uses it often to get what she wants.I agree. Her face changed a lot more than little bit:It seems Yen's face changed quite a bit (also yay for black hair).http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/31683-The-Witcher-Cosplay-Guide-Yennefer
I said "quite a bit".Her face changed a lot more than little bit
They didn't even change SoD from the current one only the texture maybe but the proportions of her face are exactly the same. Her face changed a lot more than little bit:
And for me Yennefer drom SoD trailer was waay better![]()

You're right. My bad, sorry.I said "quite a bit".
She has small breast in books, her body is fine. Im just dissapointed by her face. The differences between SoD and cosplay Yennefers are: chin, eyes, cheeks, lips. This makes she looks like different person. Im not sure that those things looks different because of lighting. She's terrible. This is not the canon, she's not beautiful. Small breasts, masculine face.
She needed more curls tooHmmm... I don't like it how she looks like now. In my opinion, Yennefer from SoD trailer was perfect, she only needed black hair and purple eyes well visible. Also, on personal note, she now has too much cheek makeup for my tastes.
I didn't find her face "common"... she was more attractive imo. And really, all that makeup wasn't necessary... I know I said it before, but it REALLY seems to me that all the major female characters shown so far (and even that herbalist in the gameplay video) look too much like porn actresses. I get it, it's a matter of taste, but I don't like it.She needed more curls tooOn a serious note, I think that all the "weirdness" complained in her face is due to the stance and the expression used for this guide.
I personally didn't like her appearance in SoD trailer, she was not particular, she had more a common face.
About the makeup, yes, a bit.
