The Pickup: huge disappointment: no way to play stealth?

Hi,
I'm very disappointed, but maybe I did something wrong.

I wanted to play stealth and created a character around that.
However In the first large mission The Pickup, everyone was fighting like crazy, and I even had to fight mechas in melee range at the end of the mission.
In terms of story choice, I simply decided to go with the deal, sided with the Maelstrom, then Militech came in and forced us to fight.

It felt completely ridiculous to do so as a stealth character, and is the opposite of what I wanted to do.

Did I miss something? How could I have done this mission 100% stealth?

I decided to attack Maelstrom with my hacker/stealth V just to see if stealth was really an option.

Of course the initial attack where you shoot Royce required gunplay, fine.

The first couple of groups of Maelstrom you could kill with the little toy you got from Meredith's chip.

However the majority of the later, and harder, fights had the Maelstrom immune to hacking (via requiring a deck FAR beyond what V could possibly afford due to the cost to run the daemons). And with multiple opponents with over lapping fields of view stealth absolutely was not an option ... Rambo time !

ALSO

Every time V trips over a cigarette butt while crouching it tends to knock them out of their crouch/stealth.

I had this issue. This is a bug. I started a new game and now I had guns.

I put all my points in intelligence / hacking. Was kind of disappointed when the mission turned into deathmatch with no option for stealth.

It seems throughout all the 'tutorial' part of the game it's impossible to play stealth. In the escape from the Heist (I'm not going to provide details in order not to spoil the story for those who haven't been there yet) only the first couple of rooms can be navigated stealthy or with non-letal takedowns. The rest forces you to a close quarter battle. Hacks are close to useless (not enough RAM to be effective). I've reloaded several time then decided to use guns out of frustration.

I did manage to stealth the escape with non lethal take-downs, but I had to be meticulous.
