So was CDPR acting stupid when they released The Witcher 3 the same year as Bethesda launched Fallout 4, then ended up outperforming them both critically and financially?
Neither critical acclaim nor financial outperforming happened, Witcher 3 was indeed very profitable but nowhere near as much as Fallout 4. FO4 remains the worst Fallout title ever (all things considered, still worse than Fail76) yet the law of large numbers works well in this case, fanatical approval is outdecibeling any criticism for this so-called game. Even on this forum, the moderators are approving Fallout 4 to some extend and turn upset (like right now) when someone writes harsh truth about it and shrugs off criticism as "unpolite", like it's a talk about a person and not a crappy game.
Also, it's Bloodlines 2 which needs to fight for attention, not Boomerpunk 2077, WoD is a niche license compared to hype generated by collective work of CDPR and Mike Pondsmith and his superior setting.
