The Sentry

Here's my conundrum. I have the quest. I'm playing neutral and had the Order blacksmith make the lightning rod (before I knew about having the dwarf blacksmith make it for less). I talk to the Elder Druid in the swamp who says I need to pay 500 oren for a storm. I choose the option to come back when the Elder Druid changes his mind on the price. So, I run around doing some other quests for a while. Then, I read about not having to pay the Elder Druid for a storm because I can just wait for one occurring naturally. Woot! So, I go straight to the golem, click on him, and well, the funny thing is that when I scroll thru my tiny quest bag, the little "tuning fork" shaped lightning rod is nowhere to be found. Is the Elder Druid holding it ransom? Am I stuck paying him 500 oren for a storm now?

Your lightning rod should still be somewhere in your quest items. The Elder Druid doesn't confiscate it on you or anything like that. You did get it from the blacksmith, right? (After you agree on the price, you have to go away and come back to get it.) Try scrolling the quest items left and right, because it may have gotten scrolled off screen.

I checked again. The lightning rod is not in the quest bag. I checked the quest journal. It says: I bought the lightning rod from the blacksmith. Now I must find a way to create a storm in the swamps. I believe the druids are weather experts. I must go to the druids in the swamps to find a way to create a storm.I checked the Order armorer again and none of his chats indicate that I haven't bought the rod from him.

Kind of bug or game glitch. You can fix it using the D'jinni editor, but I don't how it works exaclty. Maybe Coryleas can, she is sort or Djinni Princess. :)Anyway I can pass you link where to find how to work with Djinni, adding items\files to a module:http://djinni.wikia.com/wiki/Assigning_and_adding_files_to_a_moduleHope it helps.

EEK!!! Are you serious?! Oh boy... I'm gonna have to think about this one.EDIT 1: I looked at D'jinni. Does "running around like my hair is on fire" accurately describe my feelings toward it? At this point, I'm considering starting Act 2 all over again. If the saves aren't there, I may have to start the game from scratch. Oh well.EDIT 2: I went thru my save games and found the last known save in which I had the lightning rod in my quest bag. The strange part is that there is another save just 4 minutes later and the lightning rod is gone. So, the only thing I can say is that a game glitch destroyed the rod somehow. Anyway, while I'm happy that I found the save game, it sucks that I have to replay 50% of Act 2. (I like to wait until the end to progress main plot quests.)
