The Sex Scenes are really horrible

+
The most cringe thing is not sex scenes (which are fine more or less), but kisses :D Imo kisses just don't work from 1st person perspective

Sex scenes worked in context of situations and characters for what I saw, Meredith, Panam and Alt.

Panam scene in tank was excellent certain ways, I was expecting something way worse but writers went for something clever, sex is sensorial. In time when people are selecting partners based on how good they would look on their facebook profile, this was really audacious move in most positive way from CDRP. I think probably cheekiest stunt pulled in video game history so far regarding sex.

Would be whiskey or cognac coming from me to writers and whoever had brains and guts to greenlight that, but unfortunately I don't think situation allows that. Still, well done, you clever bastards.

Sex scenes are always better when implied not shown. Personally I just don't care about sex scenes, they're just kinda boring. I've got other ways of seeing that, and while I'm playing games is not one of them.

Oooft, sex scenes in video games are pretty much always cringe.

But then there's the Judy scene which felt like one of the most necessary scenes in the entire game (which makes her lack of integration into the rest of the story so disappointing). Like, seriously CDPR, you basically captured a vulnerable moment of genuine human connection. Few TV shows/movies pull that off... so well done.

So what a shame that it's tucked away in a side quest and doesn't feel like a persistent anchor for the rest of the game.

yup Judy questline is pretty darn good. all the others seem tacked on tbh.

The scenes were all very disjointed and "unsexy" and I think it was mostly done on purpose. Too much "simulation" of the act probably would have led to the idea ppl were getting to excited. Even if it were "softcore" it probably would've pushed the rating up to AO.

Either way it's clear they didn't want a porno scene even if First Person is not as "explicit."

Judy's was the most intimate because it played out closer to an actual encounter rather than cut scenes of multiple encounters slam cut together in a jarring mess.

I hope more sex/nudity will be added in new patches and DLCs, i still think that E-M range is bad for gaming, however i can notice that Cyberpunk has still one of most explicit M rated games in terms of sex and nudity. The Witcher series had much more frequent nudity and more romance options but when nudity comes in Cyberpunk show more than many other games. So less quantity but more intense contents.

Most explicit sex in M rated games (i know):

1) Baldur's Gate 3 (it's in early access, we still have to see if all sex will remain in the final version and if it'll not be toned down for family friendly platforms with ESRB range)
2) The Witcher 2
3-4) I'm undecided between Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3.
- The Witcher 3 could get the higher position because as i said below has more romance options and more frequent nudity scenes, however full nudity and genitals are never shown and hooker sex sequences are the very same for each case.
- Cyberpunk 2077 could get the higher position because it show genitals and full nudity in character customization, menu and in a couple of in game sequences. Sex toys, sex references are everywhere and advertisement and in game TV shows are filled with tits and asses sometimes, if you have a female character you still can walk out in the city with your breast esposed. However there only are very few scenes that actually shows sexual contents in game, just four or five romance options, no random nudity even in strip clubs (so sad) and very brief sex scenes that always change camera angles.
5) GTA V has various sex scenes but all are with fully dressed characters and quite the same, only strip clubs shows tits and a penis is shown in a non sexual contest.

I've spent most of the game questioning why I chose a penis other than getting awkrawdly flashed on the menu when I'm trying to change clothes. Just why

Thank you for saying this. It's too much I reckon, the sex and nudity I mean....

Why? Just why? Everyone knows that men have dangly bits and ladies have boobs etc. And everyone knows what happens in the bedroom, so why show it in such graphic detail? A brief moment of nudity as it fades is enough.... the dialogue and story can be completed ahead of the intimate scenes.

It just seems as though CDPR wanted to be shocking and pornographic, and it just baffles me. In the last couple of years I have honestly been pleased to see many genres of entertainment, in different mediums, opting with a 'watered down' approach to nudity and sex scenes (not everyone ofc, but a noticable change), providing the plot/story around relationships and normally with a brief intimate moment before moving to the next scenes.

Nothing is gained from porn scenes. I would also go so far as to ask for 'gore' and 'profanity' filters, for those who prefer to game without that content. I certainly prefer a cleaner experience, and not just for the benefit of my children, I simply would prefer to be able to censor nudity, gore and profanity. This is not such a huge stretch in modern day games; many titles have provided these options before, and so it can be done.

I probably sound a bit of a prude... I suppose I am a bit; but I know I am not alone in this. Happy gaming folks!!!

Could you explain where did you seen these explicit and shocking sexual contents ? Game has only very few nudity scenes in it that are more explicit if compared with most M rated games but that's it. Sex in M rated games is still very covered up and briefly shown.

Actually I found them good, the sex scenes are the last thing I'd criticize about the game. I think they all fit the emotion they tried to convey, and this was the only part of the game were being fpv was beneficial and not a hinderance.

The only thing I'd criticize is that you only get one scene with any of the LIs. No reckindling not even a damn conversation after it happened once.

I dunno I mean sex scenes in general are not meant to turn viewers on, its like watching a tv show. What do you expect? Heck I'd argue that only HBO shows have decent sex scenes but they are almost pornographic at times.

I agree they are weird but I feel anything more than what we see is going to be basically turn it into full on pornography and lets face it unless its an adult only game - games just don't want to go that far.

I want to add about the first person view, as someone that is into VR, first person is the only thing that makes sense for that medium.

It'll be interesting to see how game developers take their traditional sex scenes and translate them to VR. It may force the player to an active role in the scene instead of displaying a cut scene.. would that even be a fun thing to experience?

Just thinking out loud.
