I think they will at least realize more players prefer Triss in fact and will not abandon her in future updates. When you say it's over for them do you mean that they will be focusing on yen?

She's a very well-written character and a clear fan-favorite. Even if she wasn't a romanceable option (I know, it hurts to even say it hypothetically) she doesn't deserve the kind of a send off that she got. No matter how you look at it she is a major character and deserves a lot more than what she got. Period. It's really quite simple, they can’t end Geralt's story which ends Triss' story with her spewing nothing but "well", "well", "well", if they do it will be very sad. I can’t imagine that they would do that to such a major character in their series. If they never intended her to become such a fan favorite they certainly went about it the wrong way.
Nice analogy. Except a movie ends after an hour or two. Even the third game took me 140+ hours. A ~100,000% increase of time investment. It's also more emotionally investing than a movie because you are a part of the story. You have a pretty significant say in what happens to the characters and to the world as a whole. It's CDPR's fault that so many people adore Triss Merigold, the way they wrote their series Geralt is the lead actor, Triss is the lead actress and everyone else has a supporting role. If this wasn't the end of the story for them I might have been able to accept Triss giving up her lead role to Yennefer for the sake of introducing her to the series but since they have said this is it, it's over for them I find it unacceptable and very very disappointing.
Agreed, that's my main gripe with Witcher 3. Triss is built up so much in Witcher 1 & 2, and after the lighthouse scene you get virtually nothing out of her except for the fountain scene. In spite of that I still don't think I could ever choose Yen, no matter how curious I am for my 2nd playthrough to see what her scenes turned out like. I'd probably just turn to YouTube to find out about Yen's scenes. It's really quite simple, they can’t end Geralt's story which ends Triss' story with her spewing nothing but "well", "well", "well", if they do it will be very sad. It's over because this is the final game in the series. No more Geralt and so there will likely be no more Triss or Yen or any of the characters we have grown so fond of.When you say it's over for them do you mean that they will be focusing on yen?
Yep just looked it up that's actually sad. They said that they might continue the witcher series but this is the en of Geralts storyIt's over because this is the final game in the series. They never said that we won't see Geralt again, they just said that this is the end of Geralt's story. Back in 2013 they said that Geralt may return in a future Witcher game in sort of a minor/cameo role, so it doesn't necessarily close the door on other characters like Triss and Yen returning in a small/cameo role.Yep just looked it up that's actually sad. I mean exactly what I said, CDPR has stated that this is the end of Geralt's story, meaning this is the last game you get to play with Geralt and Triss. They said they "might" revisit the witcher universe in the distant future if at all but that Geralt's story and by proxy most assuredly Triss, Yennefer and the whole gangs story ends here for them. When you say it's over for them do you mean that they will be focusing on yen?
Yeah I can definitely see Ciri being the main lead in the next Witcher story, with Geralt, Triss, and Yen making cameos. Of course this all depends on how they decide to handle the ending of this one with the next Witcher game. I'd definitely play a game with Ciri as the lead. They never said that we won't see Geralt again, they just said that this is the end of Geralt's story. I really doubt we will be seeing Geralt again for a very very very long time if ever. For the next 5 to 7 years they could be focused on cyberpunk as a series. Maybe revisiting the witcher universe some time after that but with a completley different story and cast of characters. They never said that we won't see Geralt again, they just said that this is the end of Geralt's story. If they do create a new Witcher game in the future, then i don't doubt for a second that we probably will see a new set of characters, still cameo appearances are a possibility and could be handle similar to how Letho and Sile was, although they would have to create a import system (or selecting previous decisions) if they decide to go down that path. If this game is a massive success in terms of sale and if the same goes for cyberpunk, then CDPR may split into two teams, with one focused on the Witcher and the other on Cyberpunk, but obviously this is all guesswork at this point. They have said a few times that Witcher 3 is not the end of Witcher games.I really doubt we will be seeing Geralt again for a very very very long time if ever. Keep the Triss conversation going, we want more Triss. The time for cyberpunk will come. Are we still talking about Triss?
Yeah, but future content with Triss and Witcher content is connected to the plans for cyberpunk, so whether Triss will return or not in future dlc (or even a future witcher game) depends on how much more CDPR want to do for the witcher franchise, they may decide to release a third expansion pack and leave it at that (before going on to work on cyberpunk) and then we would have to hope that if Triss isn't in the first two expansion packs, that she would be involved in the third (or CDPR may do something else, who knows). Are we still talking about Triss?

Kovir DLC too good to be true?we would have to hope that if Triss isn't in the first two expansion packs, that she would be involved in the third
Maybe, but it doesn't hurt to think about it :innocent:Kovir DLC too good to be true?![]()
I would love to see an EE that fixes the lack of reaction to your choices, especially the whole Triss thing, within the main story, although I am certainly not against a Kovir DLC, I just fear that is far to unlikely.Maybe, but it doesn't hurt to think about it :innocent:
Triss's side quests will be triggered later (after dreamer quest?)Has anyone replayed since the update? I got to see Triss to do the rat cleaning mission and she says "Come by sometime.." Or something like that and I don't have anything in my quest log. I went to her house and she has nothing to say about me stopping by... Think they might have made her quests later? I'm still looking for Dandelion but will comment again when I finally get them. Might be something they did so we didn't do them too early?
That's not a bad idea, I'd be ok with thatKovir DLC too good to be true?![]()
Her quests start after Sigi's treasure. Also if you have the crystal, you can give it to her before starting her sidequests.Has anyone replayed since the update?
