I too have just finished the game, and first of all i must say it was by far the best game i ever played (and i have played ALOT of them), for i have never felt as invested in characters/story as i did during my w3 playthrough.

That the game mattered to me as much as did is in great part because of how i got into the whole witcher universe (im sure the experience is the same for many of you)

I cannot agree more to that. This game was by far the best game i´ve played in ages. Characters and Story kept me interested and there was not ONE point where i felt bored. i cant remember another game that did that to me. and as you perfectly described your feelings in your post i cant help but agree with you.

When i found out what i did when i helped Yen with the Djinn i was totally like:

after realizing what i just did. But i was to lazy to go back a save earlier.

That said; you spoke of my heart right there and i couldnt have said it any better. For me i´d pick Triss over Yen anytime. She´s just such a sweetheart you MUST love

@Sunblind
I feel pretty much the same way - and probably many more with me. So welcome to the club I guess ;)
The only this I disagree with is the whole 'canon' discussion(and maybe the best game, but I guess it's close ;)). But I'm really sick of that 'canon' discussion by now, so I'll refrain from commenting. As far as that goes I suggest you check the wall by of text by @Redemyr below your comment - which I (also) completely agree with. So welcome to you too Redemyr - great post btw. :)

It is really nice to see more people coming to this topic and showing such passion towards Triss. Very good posts on the previous page.

I like some of the ideas here but personally I'd be happy to settle for more dialogue and cut scenes, things within reason as they've added them before with enhanced editions so there's hope but anything ground breaking isn't likely to happen.

That said the games succeeded in making me dislike Yennefer she feels so forced on you and Geralt's cheesy lines to her without me choosing them is annoying especially when he told Triss he loved her earlier in the playthrough >_< basically the game feels like " So you like Triss, no no have Yennefer "

Thanks! Glad to know I'm not alone in this...

Just left out for the game for a quick thing I noticed.

Another hint that perhaps the whole Triss thing was added last minute, dunno if it was mentioned before, in her bio it is stated that Triss returned to KM because she was summoned by Yen? As if the whole I'll wait for you there after leaving the lighthouse never happened.

I'll try to enjoy the game though and not focus too much on this till I'm finished though.

The votes for Triss should increase a lot more when more people complete the game (after all it is a big game), but it is nice to see all these topics devoted to the Triss character.

I'm still not that far into the game (just finished Act One), but I empathize with the original poster. Triss' quest-line in Novigrad was fantastic and left me wanting more. I'm bummed to hear that there aren't many more chances to interact with her later in the game. I shall brace myself for disappointment in that regard.

I'd happily pay for a dlc that ties up loose ends and gives the player a chance to spend more time with Triss.

This! Exactly this!

Or for and expanded edition.. For them to fill in the gaps where there could have/should have been more triss content.

There was a lot of very interesting posts in the last few pages ! That's really great to see.
I wouldn't mind paying for some more content either. I mean, when I look at the quality of the game, I could blindy give a few more bucks to get some more things to do with Triss.
Another idea I had is to tie one of the expansion more specifically with the gap between lighthouse and Kaer Morhen. Maybe Triss did have something to do. And maybe Geralt will join her without expecting it because she's linked to the contract he will get in the expansion. That could be an easy way to include Triss and a perfect opportunity for them to talk about what happened a bit earlier while not changing much things in the main storyline.

Again, I'm gonna update the first post in a bit with some of the good ideas I saw =).

Maybe she is lookin for a house in kovir ;P

I picked the third option. Personally speaking, I disliked Triss' romance from the start and I never bought the 'innocent, selfless, was always in love with Geralt' story they were trying to sell in TW1 and TW2. Not only because book!Triss makes it very clear what her agenda is, and how truly she cares about Geralt or Ciri. Of course since the games aren't canon, gamers are left to pursue their own future, which can be Geralt acting as glorified bodyguard and husband to Triss, the First Lady of Kovir. However, to me, Triss is the best, when she's just a friend, albeit a close one, and a little sis to Ciri.

I guess I can get it.

Thanks for the input and not been a troll about it.

My Triss hating days are long gone... not really, I still hate her. Burn the witch!

Jokes aside, I think Triss from TW3 was the best written and best utilized. I couldn't stand the damsel-in-distress/is-she-that-naive-or-simply-manipulating-Geralt scenario from TW2, and don't get me start on TW1 and her gravity-defying boobs! She was a truly human character in the books with all her flaws and issues, and had one of the best character development, hence I was disappointed to see her surprisingly flatter and simplified version. Like if they wanted a combination of both Triss, Yen and some other sorceresses' traits in one person. I am glad with how she was portrayed in TW3, rescuing mages, getting drunk at parties, pranking Geralt... I wish the triangle of doom would be resolved quickly, no matter what the outcome. This is my main complaint when it comes to romance aspect of the game.

It's the easiest way, but the perfect way is to change some dialogs where we don't have any choice now, and add the consequences of our action in TW2. For example, first quest with Triss, while we expel rats.
