Triss should be there before the battle, there really isn't a good excuse for her or Letho or Keira not be there when you first arrive. That would lead to a good opportunity for plenty of dialogue options.
There should also be a quest to restore that poor bed. It didn't deserve it's fate.

Yep that's very much as i see it. Ideally Kaer Morhen should feel reflective of our choices in Act 1. it should have been the point where we get to see acknowedlgement of choice and also the confrontation between Triss and Yen, before Ciri arrives and everyone has to swallow their grievances for the needs of her.

Imagine this moment, if they decided to include Triss in the first trip to KM.

Geralt and Triss are riding up the road. They dismount upon meeting Vesemir and they exchange greetings. The old witcher takes a moment to took at them, a curious expression on his face. His gaze focuses on from Geralt, moves on to Triss, who smiles as their eyes meet, and then back to Geralt.

Finally he places a hand on his shoulder and says, "I'm proud of you son."

Personally i'm imagining the moment a minute later when Triss issues a string of profanities about Yen chucking her bed out the window.

For me was a great disappointment how the game forces you with Yennefer. Even if you declare your love to Triss.
Geralt basically act like a teenager neae his crush most of the time, and the other half, as a servant being ordered around and treated like s... T.

As for Triss, the lack of material on her is sad, you don't toss aside one of the game main characters like that.



P. S. : The quest where you can let her be tortured is terrible. Did it on my 2nd playthrough today and I'm still annoyed on letting that happen.
(and some say she wouldn't die for Geralt).

Wow, first post since 2011, and this first post about our beloved Triss.
And I have the same feelings about it.

I am not a forum person. But had to come and say something.
It just feels weird the way that was handled.


Last time I went to forums to express this kind of disappointment was during the now "Mythical Mass Effect 3 Ending Controversy".

For me too, I thought that I was done something wrong in game, or pick a wrong answers, so there was a lack of Triss in game, but appeared that Yen is forced by the game.

If you do Skellige beforehand it feels somewhat better. Geralt sees Yen, decides his feelings have changed and ends things. Going there after romancing Triss isn't pleasant(did that first time round) as there is no reactivity.

The way Triss is treated after act 1 just isn't good enough. The sad thing is it wouldn't take that much to make it significantly better. Give her her own dedicated arrival scene at Kaer Morhen, neutralise the stupid kiss and a final dialogue on the boat in Skellige and i'd be very happy.

I followed her wishes first time round with torture. 2nd time round i tried to axii them. Vastly preferable not only because Triss doesn't get tortured, there's a sweet caring scene between them where Geralt explains that he couldn't let them hurt her and in later scene with spy Geralt's dialogue has a greater degree of flirtation.

And it is weird that Yen can't read in his mind and thoughts that he confessed in love to Triss right before going to Skellige. Very, very weird.

I couldn't i remember on 2 of my play throughs .. the first time i was so under geared and died so many time but they were not going to torture my TRISS .. second time i though ill see what happens got to the last lot of dialog and said nah screw it you not touching her and killed the lot of them again!!

On second PT I let her torture it was hard to handle, Triss is badass like she killed all witch hunters and Menge.

Was a terrible feeling. I feelt very bad while watching it. Tried to redo the scene using axii with all point spent in it to maybe affect everyone and still progress, but no way out.
I don't remember if a game making me feel that bad.

At least she's a sorceress and can cure and use some pain relief spells.

P. S. : at least I have a manual save right before that and can redo this when they release more meaningful content plus new look for Triss DLC
