Triss on the other hand, all the power she does seek or even gives up, is always in serving of her ideals, mainly to help mages and non-humans have a chance at a better life.
The only thing Yen cared about in terms of "power" was find an ability to restore her fertility. And she even gave up on that when Ciri entered her life.
Also, explain to me how Triss joining the Lodge and helping them with their conspiracies "serves her ideals".
You really need to read the books friend, cause you have no idea what you're talking about. Yen is in politics because she's good at it. Triss is in politics because she enjoys power and being able to change the world "for the better".
