There is also complains about Eredin not being the Zuper Uber Evil Villain he should have been. I don't thing it's a big issue (not as big as "Well?" at least) but they point something out for sure and it add to the whole act 3 is not that great. CDPR did something very good with the act3 and ending of TW2 with the EE hopefully we can get something like that with TW3.I was thinkig about the whole act III - the thing with Triss in my opinion it's a part of bigger problem. This act is quiet incomplete comparing to previous acts and rather boring comparing to previous final acts in first and second game. Is it? We get a some quests in Novigrad and in tower and fight with final boss and... that's it. Neither interaction with Triss afer Kovir but nor with others. Seriously? Triss and Yen still are best friends? Filippa did nothing? Emyr is just a watcher?
Wait a sec... They - this great team from CDPR - made very big, outstanding world, very brutal, evil and violent, many monsters and side quests (some incredible good), they made very good Witcher 1 and even better Assassins of Kings. They've created in us many powerful feelings and suddenly they beheaded all main NPCs and really intresting plots. What is that? No time and money? I don't think so.
In my opinion it was something bigger at the end and they just cut it. Maybe it was something really bad or too mismatching with whole story. I wish to know.
Eredin began earlier than act 3. And what kind of interraction you want with him? No, it is something different for me. We could know his story and have more dialogs with him but why? It wouldn't change anyhing for a main plot or Geralt. There is also complains about Eredin not being the Zuper Uber Evil Villain he should have been. I've only played the witcher 2 EE, didn't play the original Witcher 2, could you elaborate more on what they changed on the EE version of Witcher 2, so i can kinda expect what they will do, if they do, the EE of Witcher 3 ty.There is also complains about Eredin not being the Zuper Uber Evil Villain he should have been. I assumed it relates to the line where Triss worriedly tries to stop notion of Geralt swimming onto the Nilgaard boat by suggesting he'd end up full of arrows. I haven't done a Yen romance(and don't plan to at moment, can't unseparate annoyance at Triss treatment from Yen character to roleplay it) so don't know if this line exists in the alternate version. The line doesn't come over as that flirtatious though. It actually specifies "Or you've resisted romantic involvement with either women, or attempted to woo both of them, you have no romantic involvement from this point on."
And before that it says " Triss Merigold, during Secondary quest: Now or Never, Only if you aren't romantically involved with Yennefer."
Sounds like they mean you get further flirty dialogue... But "Well?" just isn't doing it for me...
No.. Definitely not flirty... It just seemed like she was there to make an arguing point to show how dangerous swimming over to the Nilfgaard ships was going to be... If that's flirting, she's doing it wrong.I assumed it relates to the line where Triss worriedly tries to stop notion of Geralt swimming onto the Nilgaard boat by suggesting he'd end up full of arrows. AND...who could blame them for eeeking out the last dollars from a series! Hell, we would thank them..."take my money, please and thank you!"Yeap, my thoughts exactly. Very entrepreneurial thinking here.....doing an EE at the right time, squeezing in some additional stuff will surely boost sales especially come holiday season..I'd not be surprised if their figures reach 8-10 M copies sold by sometime early 2016...& they'd deserve it. Here's hoping they step in and fill in the gaps in W3!
Wouldn't hurt to find out if there was supposed to be more dialogue.Maybe we should ask in the Tech Support forum ?
Thats true...but if they think they can make money off opening up the full production for a few paid expansions, you know CDPR will! They just have to crunch the numbers on their end. Ultimately its about making money they can then redirect to CP2077...We have to realize that there are multiple voice overs, not just english or polish, so if they are gonna make new content, they have to ask more people(5+ just for one character, triss for example). Its not that easy. Therefore its important to share this thread everywhere (witcher on reddit, facebook, etc.) to let people know, because i know there are thousands of people worldwide who share our thoughts, but just dont know about this thread. CDPR must know that we really care about this. This thread needs to have 2000+ pages of replies or more, and who knows, maybe they will listen.
That's a GREAT question! Maybe we should all look @REDDorigen and say; "Well?"I just received my official game guide and it explicitly says that when we arrive at Kaer Trolde during Act 3 (on the famous boat), we have access to romantic conversations with Triss or Yen depending on our romance's choice. Could it be a bug ?
Because I just saw the changelog for the upcoming pc patch (1.06) and it says "Fixes the lack of interaction with Roche on Oxenfurt Bridge in the quest 'Get Junior'", so I assume that same kind of bug can possibly affect Triss at Kaer Trolde during Act 3 ?

@REDDorigen : could this be a bug ?
and more Yen! hehe. I mean come on, I think that the romance content in this game is overshadowed by Ciri's storyline. I hope in future expansion or DLC, CDPR will take a look into this area. It's the end of Geralt's story, true but there's loophole all over the romance content. Also console gamers do not benefit from mods. We get only what is officially released by the companies.
So I think when it comes down to it official content>mods because it benefits everyone.
Hopefully this will encourage the Reds to produce as much content as they can (with Triss please) so console players can get just as much lasting appeal as pc gamers.
I don't think it's as much about continuing Geralt's story, but about enjoying the fruits of your hard work, so to speak. In a game that is clearly aimed towards replaybility and content that takes place post-ending, I wouldn't call it a unnecessary continuation of Geralt's story to flash out the post game scenario more thoroughly. I mean, sure, Geralt's story is at an end, but that doesn't mean he does not continue to be a Witcher, and having him experience new adventures with Triss/Yen and/or Ciri wouldn't mean get's plunged into a new, epic story arc.
In short: If CDPR is really committed to keep the game alive and interesting after the credits rolled, then more content involving main characters would be VERY welcome!
My suggestions for content like that:
- The option to do post game Witcher contracts with Ciri's help, if your world state does allow for that.
- A new cone in Kovir, including Triss' house and maybe some quest involving he position at the court.
- Yen living with Geralt in Kaer Morhen, and maybe a quest involving her.
EDIT: I am aware that modders can (and probably will) make stuff like that happen, but it would be a whole lot better with CDPR's production values (ie. voice acting).
Not sure it's only that, making video games seems more about time but yeah time IS money. What I try to say is they haven't infinite staff and should choose wisely where should be allocated each team but if you're right well it's kind of a very good news because as someone say early "do a Kovir DLC and it will sell like hot cakes".Thats true...but if they think they can make money off opening up the full production for a few paid expansions, you know CDPR will! They just have to crunch the numbers on their end. Ultimately its about making money they can then redirect to CP2077...
Velen ain't going anywhere, go see Triss, you know you want itI cant decide what to do now.. heeeelp!
Very nice interview, makes some salient points.Don't know if you guys caught this but the REDS must know how popular triss is, even Doug Cockle the voice of Geralt himself chooses triss over yen
