LOL this is so true. I can also vouch for more Dandelion, probably my favourite male character in the series. They need to allow 2 avatars haha, or maybe i'll find a cool pic of him to use in my sig along with a quote (Unless of course you won't allow me to steal your idea XD)

There's enough Dandelion for everyone... Even he would tell you that It is bizarre considering she has been in the lead in the previous two games, but also featured in the adventure game. It looks like that with all the effort in promoting and featuring her character in past games, that they wouldn't limit her role in the last, and most important game in the trilogy.
I completely agree with your post, which is why I think she should've been at Kaer Morhen before the battle.
And really, the only reason I brought up Dandelion and Zoltan was firstly, because I thought Zoltan should've been in Skellige helping Geralt (as he suggested he would do after Vesemir's funeral) and secondly, because I thought "Hey, maybe they could've used Dandelion's friendship with Geralt to talk about your choices regarding Ciri, romance or just about what's going on."

Might be an intentional act by CDPR, who knows.
But good thing it's causing an uproar amongst the fan.
But.. Yen isn't that bad. It's refreshing to see different faces too. And it makes sense if Yen is more involved to search for Ciri because Ciri is like a daughterly figure to her and Geralt. Maybe this is CDPR way of making up to that.
Don't worry, we'll get our chance for a DLC hopefully.
Tbh, this is not about Yen vs Triss, because besides more interactions Geralt, the other person I wanted to see interact Triss the most was Yen. Ciri too I guess but there was so much build up between the two sorceresses. The clash between the new and the old. Who is who depending on PoV.
In fact, I wanted their relationship to be very cold at first, evolving depending on choices to them breaking up forever or making peace with whoever Geralt chose and be friends after.
You know, like they did in W2. Character development. Like how Letho or Iorveth start as enemies and depending on how you play they evolve (or not)
Im actually really glad they finally included Yen, like I said a few pages back. It strengthens and legitimizes the relationship we have been building with Triss. Without Yen showing up then there will always be the "is Triss really his true love?" in the back of our minds. Now if you have picked Triss in the games it tells you that yep Triss is the one for Geralt, their love was stronger. But there is also the Yenna option for the people who want to say in their game that the love between Geralt and Yen was stronger and so....everybody wins.

it all fairness i too wonder what they were thinking unless this isn't the final story for geralt like they have kept saying it is.. otherwise why shoe horn a character like triss who is lets be honest more well known thus loved throughout the franchise GAME wise (for the book readers i seem to attract and piss off for some reason) and give her a half arsed attempt over some one most don't know and give her most of the game time and give a fluent decent story .. I'm very lost at this!!
witcher 3 is a true master piece ( bugs set aside )if this was to be the last we see of geralt and his story/stories why not have made it a complete master piece not a half arsed attempt for one character ( TRISS ) and a rich true fluent decent story for another making it worse being she is a relative stranger!!
P.S. is it me or does yen look different in the trailers and wall papers I've seen floating aroung the net to the actual in game character .. triss and ciri almost perfectly the same yen looks diff i prefer the in game yen to the trailer yen!!

Yeah agree the fact they act like ships in the night rather than having any kind of confrontation or resolution of theirissues in anything other than the threesome ending is extremely disappointing. Kaer Morhen would have been vastly improved by Triss early presence and its a disgrace imo that she was excluded and Yen focus was forced.
P.s played through the party scene last night again and damn Triss looked even better in the dress than i remembered. Geralt thoughts dominated by one thing and it wasn't the task at hand(lol) but then Triss sort of kicks him in the gut in the stable metaphorically.

Back on topic, there's the really cool bar scene in W2 between Triss, Dandelion and Zoltan. Why did they ever decide not to replicate something like this... All the characters just happened to be in the same city too...

One has to remember that CD Projekt Red are from Poland.
There, the books are (thankfully) as popular as the games. They are surrounded by people that read the books. Poland itself is also more conservative (this time for good) and generally has more book readers than the west.

Mhm, problem is the game was heavily marketed towards a western audience so, in my opinion, that logic falls flat on it's face.
Why they didn't introduce Yen as female lead instead of Triss in previous games then?
Hmm Kaer Morhen feels very much Triss cut out for Yen. Dumped Yen have some extra unique Yen moments forced on you.
Assume story reason Triss can't go to play is that she is in hiding and can't go to every soiree. The practical reason there's no contact with anyone else in the city is i assume because now or never can be done before any of Zoltan/dandelion/priscilla missions are finished.
Yes CDPR had their ambition to make a great game, not only a fanservice for book readers.
The game was marketed for everyone... also what you are saying opens another can of worms. A very bad one.
