Yeah agree. I basically had to push through the falseness of Geralt leaving Dandelion being being missing in order to head to Skellige to get rid of the horrible forced flirting and end the wish before heading back and really digging into heart of Novigrad quests. Certainly not ideal.

I'm very intrigued to see once we get the first expansion, whether we will see any reaction in it to the various issues people have raised.

If you play again, you should do the main story in Novigrad before heading to Skellige.

This is the Order I played and it seemed to make more sense:

White Orchard
Velen - All storyline quests
Novigrad - Storyline only quests and Lambert's quest
Skellige - Storyline and The Last WIsh
Kaer Morhen - All the way through to Uma
Novigrad - Brother in Arms - Including Triss

It's alot of running around but it makes more sense with all the flirting and not being able to mention Triss in KM plus you can go get her earrings and give them to her BEFORE the masquerade ball...

Definitely not a fix but it's a lot cleaner this way... And you aren't left feeling so sad.

No i won't be doing that and ignoring Triss asking for help. They can either fix their shoddy Kaer Morhen or i'll just keep rushing through it building up Yen vitriol.

DEAR CDPROJECT RED

I know you already answered to this thread, but we need to know if at least you will solve some of the problems we explained here or not.

Honestly ,as you can read from hundreds of posts, few of us are interested in future dlc that doesn't include some more Triss and maybe other character interaction.

The thread is very big now and a generic answer is not enough, you have to take position and not ignore us with a generic '' we can't promise nothing'' .

If you can't go back to the main story and change it for the reason you explained it's ok... but at least give us some hope on future dlc that can expand the interaction with Triss and maybe other important character.

Thank you.

As I said before it isn't a fix, it just makes things smoother. My first play through when Triss said I should thank Yen for inviting her I nearly hit my monitor.

How i play:

White Orchard
Velen - All storyline quests + side quests
Novigrad - Side quests only to get you level up (don't go to Triss house)
Skellige - Storyline and The Last Wish + if you can all side quests
Norvigad - All main quest +Triss quests
Then go get Uma and travel to Kaer Mohen

Make me feel better, at least i just assume Geralt have to go immediately to Skellige cause there aren't many ship travel there anymore ....

Only problem I found with going to KM AFTER doing Triss' quests was there was no recognising that YOU asked Triss to KM. That infuriated me... At least it you do Triss after you don't get as many shady lines and you don't have to worry about Geralt not saying anything to the witcher boys about Triss..

I think it fine, Geralt just don't want to talk about it in front of Yen yet (another teleport imminent :p), but if CDPR can put Triss in Kaer Mohen when Geralt arrive it will make me .... can't describe it in word ;)

This is the last game about the passage of the White Wolf, which means that, unfortunately, Triss, we no longer see. Therefore, I would like to spend more time with her. I would like to carry on long conversations with her, I would like to do her compliments, hugging, kissing. Well, you understand.
Too little in her screen time for the last game.

True, if it isn't the last game of Geralt's story, I would be satisfied.

After much consideration, for my second playthrough, I've decided to go through Novigrad. It doesn't feel right to me to leave behind unresolved matters especially when friends are in need and in immediate danger. Arriving in Skellige, the flirting with Yennefer is much easier to explain -- it's simply not the right time and place to create a scene so Geralt is just going with it. Geralt is Geralt after all so that kind of behavior with women is not out of the ordinary and he should still have feelings for Yen at that point in the story anyway. But I feel bad for Yen because she thinks everything is cool and back to normal but it isn't. Then, when The Last Wish quest comes around, she gets a serious reality check. This is the way I have to go, there's nothing I can do about the inconsistencies that come with it but overall it makes more sense to me.

Just like my second playthrough, the list i made in the previous post is the plan for playthrough 3. I can't just ignore Triss in Norvigad and set sail to Skellige, i miss her so much....

The only problem is in the party in Kaer Trode, Geralt toast for "my beautiful companion" (mean Yen) with Cerys and her friends .... Can somebody advise me how to avoid this dialogue ?

None of the options feel right to me, but not much we can do about it. My main problem with the flirting in Skellige is that Yen says something like "If i wasn't like that, then i wouldn't be the woman you love" (or something like that), now even though Geralt can be promiscuous, i still can't believe that he would allow that without mentioning that he loves Triss now considering he just declared his feelings for her not long ago. Whether he still has feelings for Yen, it just doesn't seem right that he would fall in love with Triss and then the first thing he says to Yen in Skellige before she can even flirt with him is "You look beautiful".

We are all free to choose which order of quests we want to do, but we shouldn't have to make our own reasons and logic to make up for the inconsistencies that CDPR overlooked, that was their job to make sure our choices mattered in this rpg game, so i think that whole inconsistency really stings in regard to how we care about the choices we make.

Although i should mention in my second playthrough, i went to Skellige straight after meeting the dream lady, long before the quests with Triss came up, including the one with Menge, so i didn't leave Triss hanging while i went off to do Skellige, i only left Dandelion but you can get through the main quests in Skellige fairly quickly so i don't think much time passed in the game's world, then again i don't like the idea of leaving Dandelion in trouble.

When CDPR fix these issues, we will celebrate by having a masquerade ball at my house. Make sure you purchase your fox and wolf mask early.

So someone on youtube uploaded a compilation of Triss in this game - a bit of stuff is missing but it goes for about 72 minutes, so yeah basically Triss isn't in 98% (rough estimate including doing the side quests) of this game.....
