The Triss content and the inconsistency of our romance's choice

I'm already doing it. And I like that Triss appologise for kiss. It was story wise. When I've said her I love you she didn't go to Kovir. It was story wise. Then we had a nice time together and I send her to Kaer Morhen. I can't change this. Should I ask her to help me... maybe. I haven't played father but Skelige would be with Yennefer. Then battle at Kaer Morhen where Triss will help and I will help her. Then will be a huge arc with Ciri. Not much Triss there but do I have a time for her? Or for anyone else? In this game no. And it not player decision.

You think there should be more talking with Sorceress, maybe you wanted to see Dandelion or your Wither friends instead of Nifgaard... but no. Sorry. Is this making this game bad? I think no. You think otherwise. Though I don't fully understand you motives. But ok. I'll leave you with your demands for more

I think the entire point of this thread, its meaning, and the reason why people aren't particularly happy with how it played out has gone completely over your head.
Who said anything about Dandelion, or that the game is bad? You don't understand our motives? then read the OP again.

Nothing new Though I will try this time to promote different king to the throne. Ohh and tell Yennefer that I don't love her anymore instead of "I still love you". Am I missing something?

Jump on ramdom page of this thread: "I hope we will see extended Triss content...one day in witcher 3. (Especially romance part). So sweet character she is! " or "I just made an account because i'm not happy with this few triss-time in the witcher 3. I love triss since i met her the first time in the witcher 2 and i was looking forward to spend more time with her in the witcher 3. And i really enjoyed the time, but it was too less time
I really hope CDPR will add more triss-content in the future. She is my favourite female videogame-character of all time and if they will end the romance between geralt and triss like that, i'm not satisfied ... "

My thoughts are kind of wandering with this one so see if you can stick with me. :X

If players liked Triss in W2 and they change their mind in W3 and decide they want Yen, shouldn't that have some fallout? Like import your save either way and if you gave her the Rose in the second one and then crushed her heart in the third one, shouldn't the player have to sit through a scene where Triss is upset and asks him if everything they went through in the second one was all for naught? It would be a scene that makes the player feel the consequence of their choice. Like how some of us feel bad for rejecting Yen. There should be a fairly heavy scene that tugs at the heart strings.

I'm actually okay with the Rose being withered in the beginning - maybe it needs to be constantly around the love that made it bloom in the first place. The legend is pretty vague after all. What's not okay with me is the fact that nothing really ever comes of it. Showing it to her results in almost nothing. It doesn't come back to life. There isn't a chance to get a new one. There really ins't anything. I like that they did include it though - they got about halfway to something good but simply didn't follow through. It is sadly another missed opportunity. :X

I agree with you. I would be fine if we can talk with Triss if you break up with her for being with Yen. Your idea with the talk where you can see the consequences of your choice is very interesting and actually a normal reaction somehow. But Triss tried to be like "nothing happened". Geralt? Sex? What?. I guess that could be a reason for not talking to Geralt about the whole drama.

But yeah as you said. I feel the same way regarding the rose. Why "quest item" if you cant do anything with that but talk to Triss for like 1 sentence without any special reactions. I still hope some day we can give it back to her. In a romantic ambience where you can make her happy.

Even if you broke up with Triss between TW2 and TW3 she still hopes for you to come back to her after facing Yen. So it doesnt really matter if you did break up with her between the two games. For me this is a sufficient reason to talk to her. She actually has no clue about her relationship with Geralt at the beginning of TW3.

Dunno. You find the rose, then ask her about it and from the answers you understand that she still has feelings for you. Then Geralt and Triss kiss each other but she apologize still not sure what is between them after all she was drunk and he was looking for Yennefer. But then you tell her that you love her. Looks like solid plan :\ Again it's only side quest. It hasn't be so detailed as main plot because people simply could skip it.

Would really welcome this idea.
Just a romance DLC in general, that deals with, in more details, the aftermath of your choice, allows you to spend some time with your chosen partner, be it Triss OR Yen, and create some kind of monster plot to coincide with it.
Even something as simple as Geralt and your romance choice investigate some murders or some such and come across your spurned lover (whichever you didnt choose) and the 3 of you are unwittingly trapped in a magically sealed catacomb, where you have to work together to get out.
Plenty of action, and time for the 3 of them to really talk it out.
Could be hilarious, especially if you picked the failed threesome option in the main game, and it could give you another chance to redeem yourself and win the heart of one of the women, and give you another shot at a threesome (which of course should end as hilariously bad as your first attempt).

It's not about huge and special romance dlc. It's more about having something we missed from the beginning. That's why people are so obsessed. We're asking for fixes. This is Geralt's last adventure, and we want end it properly. Without that bitter aftertaste.

I don't know if someone already take a look at official game guide but after i end game for fourth time i decide is finally a time to take a look at the guide and i found some issues between game and official guide . So book say we have some kind conversation between Gerald and Triss before Kaer Morhen battle "Triss exchanges pleasantries with you, more knowingly if you are romantically
involved with her at this time." Next part is quest Battle Preparation, guide say " You have more flirtacious conversations depending on who you chose to be
romantically involved with: Triss Merigold, during Secondary Quest: Now or Never (only if you aren't romatically involved with Yennefer)


Now the question is devs cut this parts from game or game guide is wrong but imo i dont think so becouse if someone write this guide he play game many times .

Personally I’m a great fan. The thing about them is that there is a similar situation.

I’ll try to be as spoiler free as possible (therefore no mention of the vampire plot)

There’s a “canon” choice, Karrin, who is the one that has been in the series the longest and is the one that Harry seems to prefer. Then there’s Molly, the new girl in the hood, who has a crush for Harry and is seen first a child who makes mistakes and matures along the way. I know there are many differences between the characters, personality-wise, arcs, etc.

But imagine for a moment they make a game about it. Would you prefer they make Karrin the only choice or would you, as a player, rather have a choice in the matter?

I dont need a romance DLC. Just more dialogues between some main characters. Or lets say "old friends" and Geralt too. This is the last part of the Geralt story and it ends up with a "Good luck" into the final battle when that Guide you can buy says you will have some romantic talk with Triss if you romanced her.

Well the word "WELL?" doesnt feel like being in a romantic conversation. At least for me.

It can be a DLC without focusing on romance. Just some longer conversations and a possibility to give Triss the rose back and let it bloom again if you romanced her. Maybe some romantic scenes with her again etc.

I would like to show you an example I posted 1-2 weeks ago. Even if I already did that. This is one of my ideas:

I got another idea when thinking about new Triss content too.

To combine a new quest where some of the old friends are involved.

I think about Dandelion and Pricsilla and Zoltan. Also depending on who you romanced Triss or Yen would be involved too.

Since I love Novigrad there could be a big event in the chameleon where Dandelion and Pricsilla plan to perform something together.

It all starts at a table in the chameleon. Sitting there with Zoltan talking about the good old days.Triss or Yen would come downstairs because they got a room up there. Joining you and Zoltan for a drink. After some dialogues you can play gwent against Zoltan. He wants to bet with you. If Zoltan wins you have to pay a big amount of crowns and also spent him and your lady some drinks. But if you win Zoltan tells you and Yen/Triss about his most retarded action in his entire life. (Something like that would be very funny)

So while playing and I actually dont know if this is possible u still keep drinking with Zoltan and Triss/Yen. The Cards are getting blurry and if you look at them they are like every card on your hand is doubled because of the alcohol. A nice opportunity for your witcher senses that could at least allow you to see the card value on your hand and on the field.

After winning the mood will shine up since you will laugh for the rest of your day when Zoltan starts telling about his crazy story. While telling the story Geralt and Triss/Yen will show some nice reactions.

Finally Dandelion and Pricsilla appear and Triss/Yen tells them what they have missed. The reactions will be glorious and Dandelion tells you about his back to back performance with Pricsilla. They asks you for help and Triss/Yen are in too and will join you for a trip in Novigrad.

You got a list from Dandelion what is needed for the event which means you have to go to several places with your lady. While walking trough Novigrad Geralt and Triss/Yen could have a more in-depth conversation about different things. First of they could talk about your decision if it takes place after "the last whish".

I will just post the Geralt/Triss conversation since this is a thread for Triss content:

But have to mention that I wont add too many emotions and stuff since it will be difficult to read the conversation with emotions after every sentence.

T: Geralt..? *taking his hand and stops walking*

G: Mhm?

T: Uhm.. so you.. are you sure about your decision? I mean.. about us? *starring at him*

G: Do you regret it?

T: No! Geralt! Ofc. I dont.. I just.. I.. still cant believe it. I feel like Im actually dreaming and could wake up every moment..

G: How did you feel?

T: Hmm..?

G: After we left each other. Living like there never was anything between us. Never happened..?

T: I cant describe it.. I dont want to think about it. It was like a nightmare. I felt like I was going to die.. Knowing that you will find Yen. After so many years. Again no room for me. For a sorceress which is allergic to magic. That you would forget me and me being alone. It literally broke my heart. *looking down at her shoes being upset because she remembers that moment*

G: I had to Triss.. I needed to know about my feelings for her. It was necessary to know before we could enter a closer relationship. I had feelings for both of you. But after quiet a lot time and talking with Yen I noticed it.

T: Noticed what?

G: My feelings. Thinking about you. How beautiful you are. Your cute face.. and your personality. You would do everything for others. Suffer for them to save them. Actually I hate that because I really worry about you. But thats just you and I love you..*taking her chinn up again and looking in her eyes*

T: *getting glassy eyes and dropping a tear* Geralt.. I missed you.. so much and I lo..*trying to hug him*

When suddenly some whoresons/bandits or witchhunters appear. They noticed its Triss and try to kill you both since they noticed you covered her up. After killing them Geralt tells Triss to continue the conversation somewhere else. A safe place.

A stranger appears and yells to them that they should follow him. If you decide to follow him he brings you to his home. Its a friend of Dandelion and accidentally one of the persons having what you need for the event.

I think the point of a RPG game is to have CHOICE, make mistakes and play again. I've played other RPGs like DA and Skyrim so many times just to experience everything once... If they limit the choices, the game becomes dull and boring...

Mass Effect have a lot of people you can romance, it hard to make Romance DLC, while Witcher 3 only have 2
But still i don't think there will be romance DLC for Triss and Yen though

We still have 6 free DLC left, maybe there will be a big surprise for us in the end
