Basicaly everyone who fell for that Troll ran around screaming that the sky was on fire before ever looking up to see if it was really true.

Yes you are true but nobody from Cd Project went here to say that those mail with the support team wasn't real. I still have the doubt.

Thanks for the feedback you guys gave me a few pages back. Unfortunately I think I'll stick with Yen unless the issues with the plot are addressed, I like them both almost equally and a cohesive story means more to me than the romance, although it's so hard saying goodbye to Triss on that dock. I am looking forward to CP2077, at least there RED's won't have to plotforce a love interest on you, I hope anyway. People raged about this with Shani being dropped and Triss being forced on you in TW2 and I thought that was a lesson learned, but I guess third time is the charm .

I do sorta like the idea of not having any canon material that hamstrings the writers/DEVS in the upcoming story...I just can't remember much about my PnP days playing Cyberpunk. It was a VERY detailed game I remember that but all of R. Talsorian games were like that.

If they did that...all it would take is someone making up something to 'draw' the REDS out! Do you think it wise to respond to nonsense? Better to respond when its REAL and ONLY real info.

This thread is kind of going off the rails a bit lately. Please remember that this thread is for discussing the issues surrounding the inconsistancies in the Triss romance storyline and how they could be potentially addressed.

Not what outfit looks best on Triss
Not what hairstyle Triss should have
Not what Triss will be doing in Kovir
Not about writing short stories about Triss
Etc Etc

If you want to talk about all things Triss related you should start a new thread so this one does not get muddled and confusing. I love Triss as much as anyone but I'm starting to feel that this thread is losing it's focus.

This really isn't a Triss appreciation thread, it's supposed to be a thread that details specific issues, I think a simple screenshot now and then is fine but we need to keep the thread focused on the topic.

I may be new for this forum, but i'm a veteran form the ME3 ending controversy. I was in first line, so much time ''wasted'' to keep troll at bay and to try to keep the topic on rail. But at some point people started to write fanfiction, talking about Liara's blue babies, posting photo of ponies (not joking) and so on. It was very hard to stay on focus.

You got to admit, if you hammer on that and enforce it, this thread is dead. We have discussed this at LENGTH over the first 4000 posts. VERY rarely has anything new surfaced in the last 2500 posts but when it did, it was more times than not the result of a 'tangent' or an off topic post that sparked a different thought.

I agree we need to keep focused on the inconsistencies, keep hammering them out and putting them down as often as needs to be done but this thread has become more than JUST a suggestion thread...its like a club-house of sorts.

Not saying you are NOT right...just gonna be hard to keep this lot from breaking into the liquor-cabinet now and again.

Boys I finished the walkthrough with Yen as a romance and, sadly, the game makes much more sense chosing Yen. All the stuff that troubles the game if you choose Triss are not there (inconsistencies post Novigrad arc, KM kiss and skellige stuff, main npc respose ecc).

Which strengthens my theory that Triss romance was added "on the fly", at the last minute type of thing.

I know some red guy said that he would bring these stuff at the office, but I dont think they will allocate the resources to fix this whole situation. I mean they already said that an EE edition is not in program and we all know that these issues needs a lot of work ( = resources) to make it right AND they are currently working on W3 dlcs AND Cyberpunk.

I dont know boys... At this point I'm just accepting how things are and moving on, they'll do better next time

No Dev would stick around if he had to slogg through 30 pages of Triss fan fiction and hairstyle discussion if he was seriously looking for new insights into a problem from players perspectives, and even if he did he might miss something very important buried in all the insignificant off topic stuff.

I am sorry to say it but, everything you say makes sense! So, I am not letting my head rule me on this one...I am going all heart...spirit and soul for this one! What they did story wise was wrong and to leave it like this...even more so.

Absolutely spot on! But that djinn is outta the bottle (bad pun over here I know)...

I have wondered if we could try to reserve the 1000th post from here on out for a quick RECAP of the main points. By that I mean, on post 7000(or real close) we get someone to summerize the HIGH points of what we have talked through. Post it there and then a few of us change our SIGS to reference those pages. A Dev MIGHT see that and click through all the 'junk'...

The first page is the key, it's too dispersive. It would be nice if the OP shrink the page into some common points easy to read.

We get a few that use the 'if Triss gets some we want Yen to get some too" argument and I support that too. Everyone should want MORE of the last supper we gonna get...

I do not support that at all. There is a large discrepancy both quantitative and qualitative about the treatment of those 2.
Triss needs fixin', Yen as I said is very satisfyin as is.
I don't get that logic at all. Part of the problem is that Triss got sacrificed in favour of Yen, so NO more Triss doesn't have nor should, equate to more Yen, because the relative disproportionate treatment would be exactly the same and still be a problem.

That's sort of arguing 50 years ago "womyn should get more right ONLY IF men specularly get more too"

We have already said everything we needed to say about possible fixes to the gross inconsistencies involving Triss romance choice and character interactions in the game on the first page. New ideas are updated on the first page.

While I agree that we have drifted some from the main idea, I disagree that writing fan fiction is somehow going to detract from the main idea. Honestly it's just fan candy to keep people motivated. Everyone is trying to keep the morale high while we wait for a difinitive answer from dev. The Dev is not going to read 600+ pages to look for our issues so updating g good ideas to the 1st page is the best way to approach.

We can continue to say more Triss all day but every issue in the game has already been addressed in this forum. Some are too major to fix others are more realistic. We have to keep the thread entertaining and focus to get new following. Simply beating the dead horse is going to get us nowhere. Fan fiction shows the dev and new visitors to this forum how passionate people are about the character.

Everyone is aware of the tilt towards one LI in the game that how they ended up here. We need to repeat it and bring awareness to that issue but, we also need to keep people interested and built support for the character by using our imagination. MHO.

The more I read, the more I'm getting sad that threads about the incompleteness and illogicality of some of game endings didn't get such attention
