The Triss content and the inconsistency of our romance's choice

I agree that we need to create a comprehensive page that outline and better organize our issues and possible solutions for the dev. We can all edit our signatures as suggested to direct new visitors and the dev to that page for referencing. It's not feasible to read the entire thread, it's gotten quite large.

Can the forum creator take on this task? Or someone else with his/her permission of course.

I think going off topic time to time is necessary as long as people who visit this thread don't become bothered by it. This thread became a pretty huge thread and most of the things are already discussed and pointed out by many people so instead of going in cycles everyday, little off topic talks(for a few posts) feel refreshing to me.

Yep, there was a thread on whether Triss saying well? was a bug and Marcin came to say it wasn't a bug, and then REDDorigen, came here and said that, so yeah last update at the moment

Relax...

We never asked for a storyline change, we do have lots and lots of suggestions to fix the lack of content and inconsistency of the main story - some of these suggestions deal with the main story (very surprising I know...). But what we NEED is to remove the commentary of characters around the world assuming Geralt is with Yen - espacially after you've completed Now or Never - (replacing it with commentary of Triss), and dealing with the fact that Triss plays only outsider role in the story (with expansions/DLC or something else) << No storyline changed.

Btw, it was confirmed possible by a CDPR developer that they CAN (meaning it's possible to) add correct commentary for the main storyline and make small fixes to make it more consistent.
And this was when we had 50 people on our side, now we have 950.

I was seriously looking all over for her and I was so disappointed when I realized she wasn't there. Why can't I see her just before the final battle and Yennifer should be there also if you romanced her.

I do not support that at all. There is a large discrepancy both quantitative and qualitative about the treatment of those 2.
Triss needs fixin', Yen as I said is very satisfyin as is.
I don't get that logic at all. Part of the problem is that Triss got sacrificed in favour of Yen, so NO more Triss doesn't have nor should, equate to more Yen, because the relative disproportionate treatment would be exactly the same and still be a problem.

That's sort of arguing 50 years ago "womyn should get more right ONLY IF men specularly get more too"

WHAT? Am I back in Rhetoric and Logic? This isn't about what we want...we want more Triss. But anything is better than nothing. I;m not willing to burn the house down if we can't get more Triss. Also, what I was doing was laying the framework for a conciliatory argument, to concede something to advance my argument AND make me look gracious at the same time!

More important though, as the facts SLOWLY trickle down to us, MORE and MORE proof is being exhibited that virtually PROVE that Triss was an after thought in the main story. If I take what I read from one of the Devs who posted literally, there isn't any EXTRA VO of Triss for them to work with. She wasn't shorted in the story because of time restraints...HER story was intended to be short.

What I am getting at is, unless the intend on brining ALL the Triss VAs back so they can read a few dozen pages of dialog, they can't ADD anything to what we have in the story now.

Honestly I was one of the ones that THOUGHT it was just a TIME issue with the development...CDPR says it was not. SO, they have nothing for Triss to say.

On the other hand, with the addition of Triss to the story it is very likely they CUT several things that Yen had just for time/space. Also, with her having a much larger focus from the beginning, its likely she has a LOT of unused dialog laying on the cutting room floor. This could easily be implimented with some rendering time on the super pcs.

But the inflammatory nature of your last line shocked me a little...you have to understand that isn't applicable to your argument or this thread.

EDIT: I have also been of the belief that IF they are going to have Triss in the expansion packs...AND they weren't VO'd at the same time as the main game. Then they will need to have the VA back ANYWAY...why not let her read a few lines then.

BUT, we have to see if ANY of those IFs or BUTs or ANDs will come to fruition...

What are you talking about?
The issue is simple. The two romances are not equal, while they should be, very simple.
Yennefer's is almost perfect as is, and very satisfactory.
Only one needs fixin'. Only one is a problem.

Triss being a late addition or afterthought or the backstage stuff whatever it may be doesn't change a thing. It is not an excuse of any kind.

I don't get why people according to you should beg for more content as if they were addicts?
I don't care a bit if they add Yen content or not, as far as the game goes there is no problem.
It's just a issue of balance, consistency and quality writing/narrative.

As far as I can tell, your average two-people cutscene is just the game engine with a different lighting (+ lightsources directionally pointed around), maybe some cheapo filters, nothing "super" needed to make them.

It's not inflammatory, it's called an example. Think of a non-inflammatory one ?
How about this: person A is poor, B is rich. Your argument (or theirs) is person A can only ever get more money if person B richie gets a proportional amount too.

We don't know that and that wouldn't change a thing. Triss is not random Succubus you can sleep with or random tertiary romanceable NPC.
She's 1 of 2 paths you can choose, with her personal lifetime ending and whatnot. Whatever the details, she was/is supposed to have some sort of parity with Yen, the rest are details.
