I would personally like some sort of conflict. If there was a quick dialogue that showed you the ramifications of your decision I think it would for 1. be more realistic and 2. Make you want to replay the game to try the other side.
As it stands, romancing either girl makes little difference in the whole game.
Also as I said before I would like
1. Dialogue at KM when you bring back Ciri.
2. Dialogue of some sort in the third act. (The rose idea was great!)
I also don't think it hurts going off topic. I think everyone here likes each other (We get the occasional person who tries to derail us) so it doesn't make sense to just keep saying the same things over and over again. We should elect someone to change the front page to something a little easier to read. It has gotten huge!

Your two points are what almost everybody wants here. Could you write them to the OP @shaedhen and ask if he can bring them in the first page at the beginning of the page, maybe in bold?

Great idea. Those are the two ideas everyone agree on. They should be in the OP.
I can't say for everyone, but for me personally this two points are what i stand for. And the rose of course. I think it would be enough to complete Triss story and not too expensive for CDPR to make.
From what I've seen,I'd say Yen and Triss are equally popular.
If the rose of remembrance bloom again after you romance Triss my heart will explode with happiness.
Her fan base is pretty huge but I'll say this. It's not about competition if anything It's about having balance in the game.
Marketing a character as a main character simply to make the organization and game popular then dumping or relegating that character to the background in the final game is pretty low.
It would be like bungi killing spartan 117 or having another spartan be the main character in the last game of the Halo franchise.
What we are asking is not unreasonable or unrealistic. We support every character we just want balance in the game and more interaction. Let the game feel like an RPG instead of a movie with occasional monster slaying.

I don't think there is some evidence of her extra popularity. And polls show that Triss and Yenn are pretty equal. Triss was sort of a mascot of the Witcher 2. She was promoted in the polish version of Playboy. There was a lot of cosplayers. She was even in the promotion trailer to the W3. And so on. CDPR have put lots of effort in her. And i cant understand how they overlooked her in the 3rd act.
First of all you don't know ALL v.o. has already been recorded and when.
Secondly, easily dubbing companies had a clause in their contracts to facilitate new outtakes or dialogue if needed without starting for scratch.
Thirdly, how much do you think an afternoon of work is gonna cost?
Dubbing is not the same as shooting a movie. It is literally the V.A. walking into a studio and recording by reading from a script. A line if done correctly takes 1 minute. Almost no prep is needed.
Low level-mid level dubbing is done on the spot with very few if any re-recordings.
Then there's postprocessing, but nothing major.
In the case of a couple lines, it would not be a problem.
Introducing a whole new scene with a dozen new different lines with different tones, situations, etc. (due to alternative choice and whatnot), now that's different.
Well, one developer has said that they will discuss it, another talked about how the more support there is the more likely it will happen, but both can't promise anything. So i would say the chances are good in that they may change/alter or add a couple of things (maybe more dialogues), but it is still anybody's guess
. I also agree, i could never choose anyone but Triss but the game does make a fine example of making it feel not as fleshed out as it should be.Some thoughts about love making scene with Triss. If You look the scenes with Yen (both scenes), Keira or other women in game, they have much proper love making scene than with Triss.
With her there is passion hugs and than moving hand in corner of the screen and moving shadows on the wall, that all. But! But if You look this scene from other POV with freecam You get a very nice scene.
Why CDPR decided to show to us only some moving shadows instead of moving bodies. Is this game for adult, or for children?

Its just logistics...unless they want to do a regionally limited release they would have to have all language VA...couldn't be cheap to do that. However, what I think(fear) they did was; the two expansions and any DLC were already in the works early! When they had the VAs in the studio to record for the original story they just did the extra readings then. So CDPR has everything they need for the main story/side quests AND for the next two years of expansions all recorded as of right now. It would only make good business sense to do it that way.
Problem I can see is, if any plans change...like if you want to add someone to a romance arc after the fact...OR if their is an unseen demand/need for something or minor fixes.
On the plus side though, I don't think CDPR really anticipated selling nearly a quarter of a billion dollars of product in the first 14 days...don't think their crystal balls were that good
I know their profit off that is only about 10% of the total but still...thats a lot of cash they could have only dreamed of! So that being said, yeah...they might actually spend some of that for this kind of projekt...maybe, hopefully I think there's plenty of room for hostile words between the women at Kaer Morhen. Giving Triss her own dedicated arrival sequence is the most ideal route imo to do this but it could equally occur after the awful lazy kiss they forced on everyone. I think its silly that the issue isn't even addressed unless you sleep with both women. People aren't asking for a physical fight but an expression of the issues that are very clearly there.
Yeah no worries, the quote came from Reddorigen on page 400, he also posted again recently to clarify an issue about the possible well? bug (it would take a while to find it sorry, but i think it is the last 100 pages), the choices in this game were great, but when it came down to the romance arc, it definitely felt short changed. We are playing Geralt and the women in his life is very important especially in regards to what we wants, so it definitely didn't feel like it mattered as some of the other stuff in the game. The game shoudn't give you a choice and then make one of those choices (or both) feel inferior and look like something that was added to make it seem more like an rpg game with a possible romance storyline.
I have an unused left testicle that I would be willing to offer in trade if this could mean what I WANT it to mean...
The loves scenes don't bother me as much but i agree, it really feels like they were afraid of the mainstream market and the controversy that could come with something like this. They didn't exactly have that much of a problem with the Witcher 2, now it seems a bit 'dumbed down' for a younger audience. For the most part the Triss scene was still unique just not as much as the other (mainly Yen since the rest were recycled), but yeah i don't see why they went for the moving shadows, when they could of actually used the models.
