Also just realsied after reading some posts again - a Yen/Triss confrontation might not be plausible

@LiquidState mentioned that Yen is comepletely exhausted after the Uma transformation and wont have the energy to argue.

When Ciri is rescued everything is a rush to prepare for the imminent arrival of the Wild Hunt so they don;t have the time to argue there.

No time after the battle feels appropriate to do it.

It can't happen before the Uma transformation because that WOULD be changing Triss's story - making her present during the ritual and messing up the order of events as some people don't do her Novigrad missions until after during Brothers quest.


I think if this is to happen then it needs to be off screen and implied via dialogue to Geralt that it happened - perhaps this dialogue could take place don the boat in Skellige - again 2 birds one stone.


Example on the boat Geralt says to Yen - "You and Triss...is everything ok?" then she replies in typical Yen fashion lol

to Triss - "You and Yen...getting along ok?" then Triss replies with whatever suits her.

Both of them implying that they cleared the air and are both over it.

Don't see why Yen being tired would bar her and Triss verbally sparring. Being tired normally makes people less polite.

Don't see why Yen being tired would bar her and Triss verbally sparring. Being tired normally makes people less polite.

Even so would that still not end up "Changing Triss's story" as was posted yesterday. It would require forcing players to complete all the Triss quests before getting Uma - some people do them after- it would mean they have to change the order of quests so I really don;t think that will happen.

And the way I wrote it would also solve the lack of dialogue on the Skellige boat.

That poll is actually scaring me more than anything, a lot of votes on that poll saying no to more content and at this rate it will be a bigger poll than ours in no time.

Well it's on reddit, and from what i've seen/read on reddit there are alot of people that have read the books(like the hardcore fans of witcher are on reddit) and therefore most of them went with Yennefer so they might be biased and don't really care about Triss, although the same can kinda be said to us (biased towards Triss).
Either Way i'll be reading more stuff on reddit .
I wouldn't worry to much about that poll to be honest.

This may very well be due to the fact that the nature of the romance scenes are very different.

In Yen scenes, you really feel that She and Big G have a history. There's a familiarity. It shows in the way they talk to each other, in their facial expressions (mad props to CDPR for these by the way). It's an old love, unbridled. There's also Yen's character of course, she being very blunt and, supremely confident and, let's admit it, a bit self-centered.

Triss is another woman, with another kind of relationship with Big G, and both are fairly well (if not often) depicted. You can see the sexual tension from the very start, the way she looks at, talks to and position herself in regards to Geralt during the introduction scene in the King of Beggars and Granary scenes. Triss is more earnest, and not-so-secretly hopeful. But the operative word here is earnest.

Here, new topic that totally hasn't been discussed to death in the last 700 (!) pages !

Since what we do all wish for is some more dialog options aboard the SS "Eredin Sucks Flaccid Cocks", what topic should she and Geralt discuss ?

I'm thinking a general "How are things turning out for the mages in Kovir" where she tells you about how the other mages are doing and how they and the Koviri government are handling things, available even when she's not your love interest, and a more personal "Soo, about that house..."
After all, she's mentionned in the fountain scene that she would tell you more about it, but all I could make out was that there was going to be a

I was thinking to kill 2 birds with one stone we could have Yen/Triss briefly mention that they cleared the air between them and are over it - as I mentioned in my previous post here:

Yet that means only people who romance Triss get the confrontation scene.

When I think everyone should get it. Its supposed to be about Yen being pissed at Triss for sleeping with Geralt over the last 2 years ins't it. That should be true regardless of who was chosen.

If she uses magic to heal herself or drink potions she will react allergic.

So she cant use postions but create barriers for example like in TW2.

Of course nor I or you or anyone else knows for sure.
But what I'm trying to say it's not as hard as some people make it out to be, in fact it's quite commonplace practice, even for A-list actors.

The bigger issue is something the DEVs have expressed...reluctance to dig into the can of worms that is the story code. What we've asked for here is more than just splicing a few scenes together. Once they have the VO work and the scene rendered...the 'triggers' have to be placed in the code. Well, here is what one said...it is somewhat applicable to what we are asking for here:

It is a matter of priorities.

Like Sagitarii says, including conversations and dialog for all possible worldstates after you finish the game would have been an enormous undertaking.

I would like anyone who thinks this is an easy thing of just keeping the NPCs around to think for a moment.

1) Every NPC would have to react to all possible world-states that affect them. For the major NPCs that would be all of them.
2) They need to have different scenarios of where they are and what they are doing, logically, depending on the endings.
3) Even entire areas might have to change dramatically if we were to showcase the ending world states

And this is just a small list of considerations that ultimately led to the decision to not include this. As is the case with branching stories, they get heftier and heftier the further you go down the branches. To add tailored content to the end world would be a huge a undertaking if we were to do it right (and we don't like to do things unless we do them 'right' particularly when it comes to story and plot).

And before you yell that this was lazy on our part...please remember that we already have one of the heftiest scripts in gaming and so many voice over sessions that it boggles the mind.

Just remember...there is never such a thing as "JUST" adding something when it comes to a game like this.

His last couple of lines should remind everyone here...if you thinks its simple..it probably isn't. I think changing the timing chain in my 1965 Mustang is easy...cause I've never done it, just watched my brother do it.

Just wanting to keep folks in the know and grounded if possible...

I think we should have more lovely moments than more bitchy moments. Geralt already can break Triss/Yenn heart in a very cruel manner. I don't wanna make the whole situation more hurtful. I just want a few cute scenes with Triss instead of Good Luck/Well. To give her the rose. You know.
