Where is Triss?
Just realize something after you decompress the Nilfgaardian Soldier and give Triss back her earing, she disappears.
I loaded a save just to see Triss and do the fountain, earing, and Soldier figurine quest. Had Ciri speak to lodge alone, then went to Triss room and she is no where to be found however, Yen, Rita, and Phillipa are all present in the other room.

I think she disappears after Ciri talks to the lodge, and goes to the boat where you meet Avallach.
Np, besides gave me something to do for the last few days - still can't decide what to play now Witcher 3 ruined everything else I have.
Guys- i propose a new offer- add addittional content not only for Triss , but for all Geralt company and additional characters. After all that talking about how the game is big, the time i spent with my friends from the previous games and books so small... You meet them, complete couple of quests for them and that all. After that you can see them only in Kaer Morhen to never see them again. Or they stay in their tavern/somewhere else,where all you can take from them is a couple of phrases. And with return to your question-the relations between Geralt womens still poorly made. They havent even met a one time in the game and havent told even a word to each over .Seriously-the one scene with them together is threesome scene. Not to told that both of them will be lost for much that half of the game long. Its a very very long time. And after that you need to make a choise? Only i think that 2 quests and night with them is not enough for that? The newcomers of that game is barely know them till process. With that approach all previous games characters look poor and soulless.

I updated the OP based on the feedback I got in PM.
Basically I had to sacrifice some less relevent parts and change sentences in order to add a small recap in the beginning of the post since the OP is now at max size. I also added the link to the reddit's poll.

Some folks start with TW3 cause they bought the newest game to hit the market AND because it was getting GREAT reviews!
I started on TW3 and I bought TW1 &TW2 on steam when they went on sale BUT...I am finding it difficult to play. I do wish they would 'redux' TW2 using the TW3 engine. Its just hard to go back when you started on the smooth and pretty graphics on the TW3 world.
But, we shouldn't hold it against folks for playing only TW3..in fact, CDPR COUNTED on TW3 being sold to a majority of folks who never purchased either of the first two. According to reports I could find on the net(so they have to be true), as of late 2014 CDPR reached 8 million copies sold of the franchise to date, that's according to a financial report by CD Project RED. That's 8 mil since 2007!
TW3 sold half that in two weeks! If I had to guess, they'll break the 8 mil mark for TW3 alone by the end of the year...a LOT of people are playing TW3 that has never even heard of the other games.

She goes back to the old house she lives with those town folk in Novigrad. It's a small quest related glitch or you know as much as I don't want to believe it she wasn't supposed to be in Novigrad and Skellige after the Kaer Morhen battle remember? When she dissappeared I found her thinking this way lol She acts as if you gave her the soldier figure before the KM battle.
Me too.. but i can't do another playtrough until something is fixed. I will go for the new Batman on PS4, but i know the pc version sucks.
Additional content for all the major characters would be welcome (especially for Triss), you're right, i mean the amount of time you spend playing the game vs the time you spend with your favourite characters is not that great. I always get the feeling the devs spent more time on the open world than the character development (i hope not), and the characters from the previous games and books aren't really there for 90-95% of the game and a lot of time they are there it is usually just a couple of lines (sometimes that is all we get). Newcomers might not connect with these characters that well or quickly, because it seems that to romance Triss you use the previous games as a way of knowing her, while it would be the books for Yen and both for characters like Dandelion. For me the games have always been about story and characters so it would of felt better to me (and others depending if that is what they wanted) if we did get to spend more time with the major characters.

If you decompress solider or noble with Triss after Kaer Mohen, she will return to her old home. Funny she standing there while peasants are looting her stuff

Oh, I think if you can stir the pot hard enough they will respond...problem with some of that AND the MEGA IMMERSION thread about the ending, they are asking for TOO much! I would rather have a little bite of the pie than no pie at all...we have to keep reminding some folks even in this thread that, even though we say request away and let CDPR tell us what can and can't be done...to at least keep it within reason. I've heard folks say they want to romance Keira <slaps head>!!!
Exactly, i started on W2 then went back and played the first game and read the books etc, and the game made more sense after doing all that, but CDPR have constantly claimed that this game can be both a sequel and a standalone game (feels more like a standalone game to me lol), in fact that is how they came up with the claw mark to represent the number 3 in the title - for newcomers that would be a sign of a witcher/wolf, but to existing fans it would mean the number three.
Yeah they had sold 8 million copies of the first 2 games and this one is going to overtake it quite soon (as an estimate), so it wouldn't be a surprise at all that a lot of people playing this game haven't tried the previous games, it may actually help them to go back and play those games if they like this a lot.

I have a confession to make - I played Witcher 2 - absolutely loved it, I was blown away.
Bought and tried to play Witcher 1 - couldn't get into it at all - it was too old school for me I think. Gave up in the starting swampy area.
So I watched video sumaries and read articles summarizing most of the characters and the story so far etc.
Then played Witcher 3 lol.
I feel so addicted to the Witcher universe now though that I might try Witcher 1 again. See if I can actually complete it this time.

Yeah i was late to the first game as well, and it seemed outdated compared to the Witcher 2, but for what it is worth i absolutely loved the story, just not so much the gameplay, still it shows how far CDPR have come. Funny think is that even after spending over 300 hours in the Witcher 3, i can still go back and play the second game and fall in love with it again and again.
I'm also addicted to the Witcher universe that when i go outside i expect people to yell out "freak" or "mutant" to me lol.
