More Triss later in the game and more Yen earlier in the game would be perfect. :)

I totally agree!

I have said that Yen and Geralt should have taken a walk through the halls after he met with the Emperor and before she ports out. OR she should have taken the time to explain the history part instead of dumping that on some old dude.

Either of those two would be nice with a get to know ya moment...

I also think BOTH romance choices should have something more in the final Act. Yen felt so distant in my first playthrough and Triss on the last was all but ABSENT!

Both could benefit from MORE in my opinion and thats not just me being greedy...ok, maybe a little.

Well, one could say that Triss got the head start by appearing in two games already while Yen has only one game to shine... ;)

That's why I think that having more (and "deeper") Yen early in the game is much needed - as more (and deeper) Triss is needed later in the game to keep the balance.

Defiantly agree, you get the prologue area building up Yen and when you do find her, and after Vizima, she disappears off to Skellige before really getting to know her, and on the other side, Triss barely has any content towards the end, almost like she disappeared. So yeah more interactions with Yen early on and more interactions with Triss later on.

Just finish another witcher 2 playthrough and I have to report my findings here to the counsel.

After playing and ignoring everything around me for a while, I came to the realization that I want more Triss even more.

It is therefore my recommendation that we continue to speak out for more Triss to be included in future witcher contents.

Is it weird that we love a game character so much that we are willing to go through all this trouble to advocate for more content? If it is, I really don't feel weird at all. If anything I feel like I want more Triss.

New DLC is out anyone play it yet?

Yep i agree, and no not really weird that we advocate for more Triss, after all fiction does tend to create characters that are very interesting, almost more so than if it was in reality. I think we are all in the Witcher phase where the game has just been released (for a month and a half), so it isn't easy to forget about the world and the characters and not that we want to anyway.

I still play W2 and that was released 4 years ago and there are other games i play that are much older, so we want better content for Triss (and many other characters with awesome storylines to go with it) because years from now, this game should still be playable without the feeling that there was a lack of content or missed opportunities. I still look at the baron questline and think wow they can really tell a great realistic story. Plus CDPR are just really good at telling stories with the characters.

You can knock her out a few times, I don't think she dies though. She'll get back up after a few moments.

You use the developer console to summon 20 Triss's. You switch player to Ciri and use the trinket Triss gave Ciri right on top of Fringilla.

Don't stand there for too long.

I agree with your conclusion, yet in the interest of arguing just for the sake of it, I would say that it's not that Triss got a head start by being in the two games.

Because that would imply that both were equal in the books and one was portrayed and the other was not. From what I've gathered, they that was not the case in the source material. I might not be accurate but in terms of relevance my guess is that, to put it in W2 terms, Yennefer had Triss role and the later had Ves role. Not in terms of feelings, etc, but in protagonist.

The games elevated her role from secondary to main cast in the witcher universe (or expanded universe). So, in this new iteration that combines both the old and the new, both women, along with Ciri, should be main characters. And they are in a way, given how the way Geralt ends his saga is related tothem. Ciri by, you-know-what and then the two sorceress by taking him into different locations. That relevance, however, is not matched in screen time as we all know.

So Yen content needs an increase too, in the beginning especially. And yes, Triss needs it, especially towards the end. But the end situation should be that both end up with roughly equal time, with Yen having that plus at the beginning for her introduction.

Speaking of endings. I would like to mention an anime I just finished watching, Fate Stay Night. I don't usually watch animes (actually that one and its prequel were the first), I do read some Visual Novels and that anime was an adaptation of one I've read. In any case, not gonna discuss plot or whatever. I do want to mention that, in the VN, the story sort of ended with "the characters defeated X and went on to live somewhere." The anime adaptation dedicated a whole chapter (or half of it) to show their lives in that location. If there's ever some sort of EE, they NEED to do that here, half an hour or so of the house in the woods or the one in Kovir. It gives closure in a way that a few lines of text will never do.

Triss wasn't in love with Geralt in the books. To me it felt more like a schoolgirl crush. She obviously had feelings for him,but they weren't as strong as Yennefer's

I do agree that Triss and Ciri should have more interactions in TW3,but Ciri barely had interactions with anyone who's not Geralt in the game.

Obviously my knowledge on this is very little yet my interpretation was that Triss wasn't aware of how deeply rooted her feelings for Geralt even in Witcher 2, she doesn't think she stands a chance against Yen and she's still in growing mature process prior to Witcher 3 and only in witcher 3 she realizes she's truly in love with Geralt when she loses him and the things she lives in Novigrad obviously have different impacts on her, she seems somehow changed to me. Can't really explain it:/ If you let her get tortured in Menge's office you're able to see a fierce side of her. To me Triss seems like a blossoming red rose throughout my gameplay experience and Yen's already a blossomed black rose. I love that Triss shows a character growth that I can live through with her for the same reasons I loved Liara in ME franchise.

Sorry for digging this up but i'm getting tired of it. I swear this is my last post on this subject. For sure. I just don't understand people who like to point on some embarrassing things Triss did in the books and make her look like a completely rotten person in general. If you look at the whole story from the beginning to the end you'll see how all her actions lie between what Yenn wants, what Geralt wants, what the lodge wants and what she wants. Yeah, Triss did some nasty stuff, but she never was proud of it. Besides it bothered her. She constantly goes from side to side in order to understand her priorities. She tries to find her way and what she stands for. And she has found it at the end. This is the main difference between Triss and other sorceresses. Triss looks at the retrospective of her life and thinks, reflects. She has a gentle heart.

What about her love in the books. People like to say it's just a highschool girl crush on Geralt. Seriously? For barely two decades? A crush. For two decades. I have nothing to say.

And my favourite. Oh yes. The friendship. Always the same: she was just a friend. But no. She was the special friend. Even in the books you can see something very nice and tender between them. You can't call it a love, i guess, but this is very close to the point where love starts. And what's wrong with being a friends? I always thought that true love and a best friend is apparently the same thing. I mean if you want to spend the whole life with somebody it should be your friend. No doubts. The passion goes on in off, but this feeling is essential. In this case Triss is perfect. And when love starts to grow from the friendship... Holy Mother of God, i cant imagine anything better.

Exactly.
It is even more pleasant because if we consider games being a continuation of books - Triss grown very much as a character. In books she is a talented sorceress but until the very last book it is obvious that she is a coward. In the last scene of the last book she says smth like "I'm done being scared!" and helps Yennefer to make their way through the crazy crowd to pitchfork-stabbed Geralt.
That is why book-lovers "hate" Triss. They were so carried away by Yennefer's sacrifice that they missed that Triss stopped being a young cowardly "treacherous" sorceress anymore. In games (I didn't play TW1 so I can't tell) from TW2 she is a strong and brave character. She deserves as much respect as Yen.

That is why I can understand why Geralt can't choose Triss over Yen in books but I can clearely see reasons for choosing Triss in the game.
