Can't get enough Ciri.
THAT is the look I think Ciri would have on her face when she watches Triss spin Geralt around and kiss him before Yen can run down from the wall!
Maybe her jaw would be a little more slack...
Can't get enough Ciri.
I'll see soon be back at that scene in my 2nd playthrough and maybe i'll see it differently this time.
There's lots of things i would have liked ideally. I'd have preferred Geralt hadn't ended things with Triss given my import but i've come to an acceptance of their decision.I'd have liked to state Triss as a possible reason for ending things with Yen but game doesn't allow that reactivity. I'd like as you state to at least tell Triss he decided Yen and he had no future but it isn't reactive to that either. So i've come to the stage where Geralt stupidly ends things with Triss because he's confused. He finally ends things with Yen because he realises he doesn't love her. He returns to Triss to see if the feelings he had are still there and whether she'll take him back. The rationalisation i can come up with why he doesn't tell her is he wants her to make the move and that's why he ends up having to make a last minute declaration of love in order to get her back. That works better for me than declaring love and then flirting across Skellige, even if i'd prefer a more reactive experience.
That's what I'm dreading too, the long trip to complete Velen and Skellige first before getting back to Triss. Although, I'm hoping doing it this way and getting to see Triss closer to the ending and not having Skellige in between helps somewhat.

That's the impression i got in my second playthrough. There's a line of dialogue when you first meet Triss whilst moving from one location to another where she implies something along the lines of she had to make a fresh start and it wasn't her choice. So yeah i think the game implies Geralt ends things with Triss because his memories lead him to believe he has to find Yen and see if he still loves her as his memories tell him her should.
nail on the head!! i think that was there intention from the get go but i feel they kinda went at the last minute ohh f.ck ppl really love triss if we just write her out or give her a keira metz scenario then ppl are going to be pissed!! because lets all be honest does any one really give 2 shits that keira isn't a real love interest or really want to end up with her???I know I am just seeing more into this than their probably is BUT, it points to the fact the CDPR writers early in the planning had Geralt break it off and focus full bore on Yen and Yen only! This direction, if true, would lend credence to the hypothesis I have that at least for a while, Yen was the only romance option in TW3...
Oh yeah, now I remember that line, it's the same conversation I think where Triss asks Geralt, "How's Yen?".
This leads me to want to go to Skellige first even more before finishing up Novigrad.

I might be on to something here or just speculation lol ..
maybe RED knew they f.cked up the triss romance but due to time constraints and release they thought look we will put the rose in there as a junk thing and have no purpose FOR NOW!! but we will keep player guessing but we will revisit it and make it useful ..
I LIVE IN HOPE lol
You really think so? After the relevance Triss had on Witcher 1 and mostly Witcher 2, that the writers would just give up on her?I know I am just seeing more into this than their probably is BUT, it points to the fact the CDPR writers early in the planning had Geralt break it off and focus full bore on Yen and Yen only! Will be a long trip to complete Velen and Skellige first. But if you managed it before getting killed cuz of the desire to see Triss.. tell us if it feels better/worst
I still cant understand why they thought that putting aside triss was a good choice FROM THE BEGINNING. Man they built up triss in two games, two games man....
If they did it to match the books it's still a bad choice. I played the game cos i wanted to play a game. If i wanted to read i would have read the goddamn books
I would party around if you could choose a new option for the dialogue if you first do Skellige and "the last whish".
Coming back to Triss and then answering:
G: "Not good at all"
T: "Hm"
G: "Why you asking?"
T: "Nvm. I got my answer"

I kinda doubt it or i kinda don't want to believe in that either.
Anyway if that's so then i'd be extremely disappointed.
I'm going to to go out on a limb here but because yen really was from what i understand was the love of geralts life ( book wise / i haven't read the books going off what I've read on various post throughout different threads) and so i think they cannon wrote witcher 3 with yen in mind from the start but maybe stopped short when they realised who really is yen to players who haven't read the books they really only hear yens name dropped in witcher 1-2 we need to give ppl a character they can relate to and players not just the book readers AHH TRISS!!I still cant understand why they thought that putting aside triss was a good choice FROM THE BEGINNING. Man they built up triss in two games, two games man....

Im not sure if I wont agree here.
The reason is that I was watching almost every trailer for hundreds of times on their youtube channel.
Why would they show scenes between Geralt and Triss when Yen is the only person you can romance. That makes no sense to me.
On the other hand the first trailer including Triss was the "sword of destiny" one. So u could be right. Depending on what's their priority when creating the game.
