Well, there are a lot of challenging ideas in that script. I've also had the pacifist volunteer to fight a suicidal rearguard action in order to let the others escape. But, it's a sketch. You can suggest improvements (or you can write your own completely different sketch).
People have reasons to make the sexual choices they do, and the people they choose to share with. Often, those choices are complex.
I understand that we are talking about a mod, so you can pretty much do anything and I would be alright with that, considering I can just choose not to play it. I just wanted to point that out, in case you want to take that into consideration. Since this very question is dividing the community, you would have to heavily justify that with top notch writing to please everyone.
Pleasing everyone might not be what you're after, and I don't even think it would be possible. Just wanted to answer the initial questions of the thread.
I would have argued on the "sexual choice" were it the subject of the thread, but it's not, so I'll just leave it to that.
It's a video game. Quit acting like somebody making a fictional character change sexual orientation is a crime of the highest order. If you have this much of a problem with it, I'd be curious to know your stance on the Yaoi artform. Or is it only a problem when somebody makes a fictional gay character straight?
Get off your high horse and let art just be art.
Oh...
Okay...
I'm sorry, I hadn't realized. Just give me a sec to get off of my horse, 'cause it's just so goddamn high.
*ugh*
[stretch toward the ground]
[splash !]
*Damn, how do you peasents live in all that mud...*
Okay... so... now that we are eye to eye... wtf ?
How is anything you say related to what I said ? The dude asked for feedback on his mod project and so I gave mine, wich was a warning about writing consistency. If you want to bang Judy like a real man with the help of a mod, do as you please. If you want to jerk on some tentacle shit, be my guest. Hell, I've been modding my skyrim since 2011 and i've seen some weird stuff. I even enjoyed some. But that's where you have to answer one important question : do you want a mod wich is believable and respect the base material, or not? If you do, then you have to consider character's personalities and emotions. If you don't... well you don't have to, and you can just live your personal fantasy. But you'll lose people on the way.
Reading your post, you are starting a debate on a subject I don't want to discuss. Furthermore, this subject is unrelated to the thread, so there was really no point in writing that from the start.
I would have been very curious to read your definition of art, but I have other fish to fry, so i'm just gonna get back on my horse and run far away from here.
"pardon my french", but adieu.
