I think you did. Only, see how dusty and messy his car is? Can you imagine Wisdom driving around in that? Also, those pants TOTALLY clash with that finish!

Yeah, I have to wonder though how he reaches the peddles with his paws.

And yes, his mates clothing doesn't really go with the car.

The player has ocd, the character is a filthy nomad.... it allows me to play out a fantasy you see, to escape myself...

Though my character sheet is so ridiculously organized I can tell you what he is carrying in his wallet.........

Mad Max will be a good stop gap.

Who knows, maybe with the right tools, (if redkit is anything to go by,) you can make your own nomad rolling town and run multiplayer groups out of it...

Wait I don't understand does the cyberpunk world went apocalyptical say like fallout, because that would explain their downgraded tech on computers and weponry.

Complex answer.

http://www.shoestring-graphics.com/CP2020/timeline/

In the default Cyberpunk timeline, the world started to come apart economically in the 90s, with the Crash of '94 leading to the Collapse of 96. Europe is less hard hit and the South East Asian countries thrive.

By 2020, tech has advanced quite a bit and Europe is still economically and militarily dominant. The U.S. is fragmented, with various states becoming effectively their own countries. Corporations have stepped in to fill this power gap and are now the power-brokers of the world, replacing the Superpowers. Outside cities, especially in the United States, the rural areas are either Corporate factories and great sprawling agri-farms, or deserted wasteland and highway filled with survivors, bandits and the occasional foolish Highwat Patrol officer.

In 2024, the Fourth Corporate War comes to a head and the next Collapse arrives. One of the side-effects of the War is that a super-hacker named Rache Bartmoss looses a naaasty virus onto the Internet and screws over, well everyone. There is also a physical version, just to screw with people who liked to read actual paper.

By 2077, the world has changed from 2020 and is also much the same.

Really? DAMN.

Let me revise:

No, it is too much. Let me sum up.

In 2020, magic returned to the world in a great Awakening. First Nations, ( Indians to you Yankees), rose up in the Great Ghost dance and caused several volcanoes to go off, changing both the physical and political landscape forever.

Also, Dragons.

Also, people turned into Orks, Dwarves, Trolls and Elves. Well, the elves said they'd been here all along, but everyone ignored the pointy-eared dandelion-eating metrosexuals because elves.

Corporations took over and made giant arcologies. Everyone got a SIN and if you didn't, you were a non-person.

Did I mention magic? Yeah, magic is back and if you have cyber, you have less magic. Also vampires. And faeries. No gnomes, though, because, honestly, fuck gnomes.

By 2077, Wisdom is standing behind me with a gun, isn't he? He is. Damni

What bothers me is that these guys have the tech to compleatly change humanity but they just seem stuck, no progress, they basically seem content how they are. Do they have space travel or do they consider it magic :p

Oh, it's magic. Elves run the ground-to-orbit Needle, based out of Japan.

Or it could be a contained space time bubble that basically makes space move the ship instead of the ship moving itself, it also has the benefit of making the ship nearly indestructable unles you can destroy space and time. It might seems magical but its not, it really is a hypothesis to a form of superluminal travel based on known physics.

Yeah, Alcubierre's work. Keep in mind, Alcubierre is very doubtful about the possibility of FTL using his ideas. He points out, if I recall correctly, the issue of moving the "bubble". Still, exciting. And reminiscent of Alan Dean Foster's "Flinx" series with the KK drives.

No, Cyberpunk has space travel. The human race is out in the solar system, with all our idiosyncrasies. There are whole human cultures, Highriders, who are independent nation-states in earth orbit. Very cool stuff.

Humans tend to move forward slowly, with our tech outpacing our cultural and "spiritual" growth. Cyberpunk embodies that. "High-tech and low lives" is the phrase. Your cellphone may be built into your head and the occasional flying car may pass overhead, but you still gotta eat, choomba. And that guy on the corner is giving you the hairy eyeball. He doesn't know you had your right arm replaced and an Armalite .44 mounted on a pop-up between your, ( now synthetic) radius and ulna.

He's gonna find out.

Yes, the issue is moving the bubble, because you basically need huge amounts of energy. The other one is wormholes, for this one you basically need massive amounts of energy and space time manipulation to keep the wormhole open, but nothing that can't be solved by our descendants and their AI overlords :p Just one question, arent cyborgs common in cyberpunk?
