we need a Witcher 2 remake. Trying to get a decent frame rate W2 on a modern PC is very hard. Also, I cannot do the fight scenes or the dragon jump scenes at the beginning on my new game controller; the lag is so bad that either the button icon shows up too late, or not at all.

NB: in such a remake, characters better still look like CDPR ones, not Netflix ones.

It would be nice if Witcher 1&2 are just remade on Witcher 3 engine.
We won't need it to be totally the same in terms of side quests or alike, just the main plot and most notable side quests :)

Since the announcement of KOTOR Remake, my mind is pondering back again on the idea for Witcher 1 Remake as a more substantially safe & productive next project for CDPR in the future. It's no secret that CDPR are still in critical moments on fixing, improving, supporting CP2077 that hopefully on steady management for years to come to right their mistakes. So a massive budget AAA project for next development cycle is a rather high risk & unbecoming, especially with majority of the devs team are still have a lot of things going on, on top of trying to make a more healthy & steady management in this pandemic time.

This is why I think Witcher 1 Remake is a much more clear vision & constrain budget seems a much better option project for CDPR's next big product. Not only that, Geralt as Witcher & the popular existence of Witcher Netflix certainly give massive prospects in business prospect.

Well then, here is my simple wishlist for Witcher 1 Remake:

NARRATIVE-WISE

+ Overall keep it the same with added enhanced/complete edition contents
+ straighten the "CDPR canon" & some of the minor plot holes.
+ New definitive edition of the CG scenes & also provide the OG classic scenes on HD.
+ Keep the same art story scenes in HD.
+ Maybe add a better proper recap art scenes from the books without being spoiler-ish to the books??
+ Maybe add more varieties of monsters, with different species & sub species, like Witcher 3 & MHW

MUSIC & SOUND-WISE
+ MUST keep the original OST & maybe add a few new ones if CDPR want/can afford it.
+ Keep the OG VA dialogues. It's still good imo & I don't see any problem with it.
+ better environment & combat sounds

GAMEPLAY/COMBAT-WISE
+ A more comprehensive Action RPG combat while still attain much of the essential stuffs from OG. Basically a mix of Witcher 3 + MHW + Nioh. (Details below)
+ Character leveling in-line with the new combat system
+ Comprehensive Witcher Signs, Alchemy, & Mutagens system that in-line with the new combat system
+ Simpler yet easy to manage Inventory system like Witcher 3
+ overall maps/levels still the same. No need to be bigger open world stuffs.

MISC STUFF-WISE
+ "WITCHER'S HUNT" mode. Basically like a mix of Monster Hunter World PvE Questing & Events system for a PvE contents for more replayability elements.
+ A more detailed Geralt looks customization with hairstyle, beard, & misc accessories (like bandanas, masks, helmet, glasses, etc)
+ Detail armor/accessories coloring & Armor layering or "transmog" system.
+ Keep the "Romance Cards" system & of course a much better romance scenes like Witcher 3 or CP2077
+ Witcher 3 journal, bestiary, & other info system
+ Replayable Chapter/Quest mode
+ Character Model Viewer
+ Concept Art Gallery Viewer
+ CG & Art Scenes Viewer
+ Add "Fishing mini game" or other new one.

Let me know what do you guys think about Witcher 1 Remake & maybe your own wishlist for it!

A Witcher 1 remake with Red Engine graphics and perhaps a revamped gameplay more akin to TW2 and 3 would be nice, but IMHO TW2 is perfect the way it is

I think remakes of The Witcher games would be neat.

But timeline wise/order of operations for major releases I'd do something like:

1. Cyberpunk 2077 Expansion
2. The Witcher 4 & Expansions
3. Cyberpunk 2 & Expansions

Then by that time if CDPR has hired enough people/has enough teams I think it would be neat to see them working on remakes of the entire original Witcher trilogy alongside 'The Witcher 5' or whatever it would be called. Kind of like how Resident Evil is remaking earlier versions of their games while at the same building out RE8 and RE9.

Basically... if you are going to remake 1 & 2... might as well wait 10+ years (from The Witcher 3 release date) and remake 3 at the same time with them.

Some sort of "Legendary Edition" like another well known serie :)

It also wouldn't shock me if CDPR eventually has three 'AAA' teams. I could see them having one to always be working on The Witcher, one always working on a Cyberpunk game and one to work on stuff like remasters (ME: Legendary Edition) / remakes (New Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3) / multiplayer versions (Fallout 76 type things for Witcher/Cyberpunk that hopefully aren't as bad as Fallout 76 was).
