The Witcher 1 crashed my entire pc

Hello,

I just reinstalled the Witcher 1 to be able to replay it and so do the 1, 2 and 3. But it crashes after 30 to 40 minutes of play. The game freeze then goes on a black screen. A few seconds after my entire PC reboots. The problem is present on steam and GOG. I do not know what to do. Do you have any idea where this can come from?

But you definitely need to tell them your PC specs, otherwise it's difficult to say much about it. However, if the game crashes your whole computer, it could be an overheating issue on your PC! Might be a good idea to monitor the temperature of your CPU/GPU while playing.

Just wanted to add that this is definitely a problem with your PC's hardware, BIOS, or OS / File System. A game cannot restart a computer. If your PC ever restarts by itself, that's usually a matter of faulty hardware. I'd begin by investigating the PSU. Did you build this system, or is it an off-the-shelf PC?
