Will the Mac version only be available through Steam? I have friends who are suspicious of Steam, and they'd rather buy it from GOG or buy a boxed version -- will either GOG or boxed versions of the Mac edition be available?

I am pretty sure I heard them say it's Steam exclusive, but I may be wrong.

Ok. Now, how about Witcher on linux? You can't say NO, cause obviosly if you made port to Mac, there is only one step to made one for linux.

I love linux, but I have to admit linux isn't the best plataform for gaming.
The problem with gaming on a linux box are the graphic card drivers.
They are, in the best case, inferior to the drivers for other platforms.

To provide support for games like TW1 or TW2 on linux sounds like a nigthmare to me.
I don't think CDProjekt will take that path.

I don't want to sound evil, but there are two problems with bringing it to Linux. First off, the market penetration for Mac is considered for most games to be too small to be worth it, imagine then how it'll be for Linux?
Second problem is the fragmentation between the Linux dists. It can be done, but would require more support resources than it would for Windows and OSX.

That said, I hope they do make for Linux, as I know all too well how it is not to be able to play your favorite games on your favorite platform.
