Hi all,
I think i have a technical issue. I recently bought The WItcher 2 but i'm not able to register the game with the CD Key i got on steam. How can I register the game ?

Do you mean you bought the physical CD version of the game and want to register the key from it? In that case the key from it is most likely for GOG.com and not for Steam.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself in the correct way.
I bought the game from Steam during the New Eve sales but I can't find the section to register the game, I've been looking for that the whole day. Thanks in advance!

Well, if you bought it directly from steam, the game should be already in your library. If it‘s not there, then you might have to contact steam support.

I already have the game in the Steam Library, but when I launch the game it says that i have to keep the CD Key for the moment in which the game will ask me the product key. And when i open the launcher of WItcher 2 it says : Register the game and redirects me to a site that doesn't work anymore as it seems (http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=register)

You don‘t really need to register the game. It‘s an optional step.

If there’s no way for you to get rid of it, I read in one of the steam discussion threads that closing steam and reopening Steam in administrator mode can solve the issue.

Well, you don‘t have to register the game.

If you don‘t see an option to launch/play the game, you could also try starting the witcher2.exe directly in the game folder.
