If you use predownload on the release date you will need to download just 300MBvolsung84 said:So uh... what size will the download be after April 17th? Still ~ 10-12 GBs?
I believe the location specified is simply where the patch files will be stored; they are then completed (with the final 300MB) on launch day, and from there installed unto the actual game. In other words, you can put these files wherever you want them. A kind CDPR employee will have to confirm this, however.Laphin said:When downloading (using the preloader), it automatically downloads to default C:/Downloads. I speek for the rest of the UK, as not everyone has access to the type of internet deals a "small" number of us have got. This way you can start enjoying the 4 hours of additional gameplay, 35 minutes of new cinematics and other improvements
Woo thanks! Much respectdinek83 said:In patch for Steam version Overlay bug is fixedI can fully confirm it

No, you don't. You speek for yourself. There hasn't been a massive influx of Brits complaining since the filesize was announced, so I very much doubt if they really are either as deprived as you're implying, or as uncouth as to complain about a free update.LordLethris said:I speek for the rest of the UK.
No we can't unfortunatly. The file is too big and no email box host would allow us to upload such a huge file. I even doubt it is possibile to share with a file sharing of any sort like megaupload etc.Felathar said:Can someone send the preloader to my email? I seam to be the only one having problems downloading it. Felathar@hotmail.com
Well you haven't search carefully enough then:Felathar said:First off, I'm personally no bothered by the huge donwload (I have special unlimited, uncapped off peek privages, and it only took 40min to download on my fiber optic line). And for the record I'm not trying to Troll, but...
...can someone from CDPR post a full list of enhancements please?
I have searched High and Low on this website and I cannot find any where the full list of "Enhanced Edition" improvements, other than this quote posted EVERYWHERE
Wrong. Most of the people here are from: poland, germany, russia, US, czech republic10gb is a HUGE chunk of bandwidth for most people here in the uk. Even with seemingly "unlimited bandwidth" they will be "capped" under the "fair usage" policy for sure!
You're not forced to download it if you think it's uselessPeople need to know if this 10gb download is worth it, because for the extra 35min of video and only 4 extra hrs of game play, its not looking very appatizing, considering when most other game mods that give you 4 extra hrs are less than 150mb!! AND even with extra speech files, can be less than 1gb.
Again, I'd like to point out Im not trolling, its just that almost everyone I have spoken to here in the UK have said how rediculously large this "enhancement" is, and is it worth going over there 3gb bandwidth allowance?
Yes... well ok thanks. Apparently Lord_Lethris missed them.bcheero said:All the changelogs have been posted in the forums in the general discussion section. There's no need to post another thread when the changelogs are on second or third pages.
I directed it to my GOG downloads folder (separate from the installation folder) so when I do a system backup it'll all be together. Doesn't matter where you direct it (could be your desktop if you want), it just needs to be somewhere that you can keep it for a week until the last 300mb is available.Laphin said:When downloading (using the preloader), it automatically downloads to default C:/Downloads. That is the same way I understood it. You should download all the pieces of the patch (Pre_Downloader.exe, all the .bin pieces, and the completer on the 17th) to exactly one folder, which can be anywhere. I have mine on a portable drive, where I also keep my GOG installers.Kindo said:I believe the location specified is simply where the patch files will be stored; they are then completed (with the final 300MB) on launch day, and from there installed unto the actual game.
